Two of the most crucial store attributes are that cashiers know the coupon policy and are considerate to couponers. Sometimes the stores that have the biggest discounts aren’t the closest or easiest to get the hang of. So you may want to make a switch, even if the alternative is a bit farther away or requires more effort to master. Get to know the ins and outs of new stores so you can save the most and streamline your couponing experience. If you love to price match, you may prefer Target to Walmart (or vice-versa, depending on your store). If you have multiple drugstores nearby, consider swapping for a few weeks on a trial basis.
Better location perks include wide and easy to navigate aisles; coupon-friendly cashiers; and extensive selection, especially in produce, with markdowns and clearance or organic/natural choices. Other advantages include the ability to stack or double coupons, having sale products consistently in stock, an easy return policy or more convenient hours. For those with kids, fun carts and small freebies, like a sticker, donut or balloon are big pros to keep the little ones happy while you shop!
