What is Trim?
Similar to a personal advisor, Trim finds ways for people to save money on their credit card! Trim works with thousands of retailers and finds and cancels all of those unwanted subscriptions, along with those overdraft fees! It’s like a personal financial advisor that saves you money without any work from you.
How does it work?
Trim’s algorithms go through accounts (you have to give them access, of course) and search for recurring payments. They then send you a list, where you can then reply “cancel” if you want them canceled. Trim cancels them for you via email or phone. But don’t worry, because you always get notified of the final cancellation.
Here’s an example:
Say you signed up for an Audible free trial, but with that comes also signing up for a subscription (or paying a monthly fee after free trial). Trim will find it on your credit card statements the first month you are charged and will send you a text asking if you wish to cancel. Simply reply with the word “cancel,” and they will send a cancellation email (you’re always cc’d on the emails). If you wish to continue your subscriptions, do nothing.
