When it comes to school shopping, Walmart is the place. Not only will you score some of the lowest prices around, but you can usually buy everything on your kids’ school supply lists there. Talk about easy!
1. One-stop shopping. Why go to multiple stores? Everything’s here.
We’re all busy. Who really has the time (or desire!) to run from store to store collecting school supplies? Walmart gets the win on this one. It’s one-stop shopping, especially with #2 on our list.
2. Largest selection. Find everything on your supply list in one place.
Crayons and pencils and binders… oh my! Walmart stores have one of the largest selections of items on most school supply lists. If it isn’t in the special back-to-school section, check the stationery section of the store.
3. Lowest prices–even without coupons.
This is the best time of year to stock up on school supplies with Walmart’s special value and rollback pricing. I buy extra supplies and keep them in a bin in my closet. Throughout the year my kids can go to our “store” and get new supplies as they need them. A two-count of Elmer’s glue sticks for $0.25 is far better than the price in winter when they’re back up to $1.99!
4. Free delivery to your car.
Order online, drive to the store, and have all the supplies delivered to your car. I can handle that!
5. Receive other stores’ deals by using Savings Catcher.
This is one of the best tools ever! Walmart has replaced its price matching policy with Savings Catcher. At the end of each shopping trip I scan my receipt to Savings Catcher (in the Walmart app). Walmart will automatically search local competitors for lower prices on each item I purchased. If a lower price is found, I get the difference. For example, if I buy a 24-count box of Crayola Crayons for $1.00 and Target has a lower price of $0.75, I receive the difference of $0.25. It’s so easy!
