T.J.Maxx stores have started opening nationwide, and I visited my local store to check out the deals for myself. While the discounts aren’t as exciting as the ones I found at Ross and Burlington, there are still clearance markdowns across all departments.

T.J.Maxx just started taking online orders again after shutting down their website in March due to COVID-19. However, they are only taking limited orders at this time — they’ve been reaching the limit fast, so if you’re interested in shopping online, you’ll have to place your orders early in the morning.

There were lots of Easter items in stock since stores were closed on the holiday. These items were not marked with a clearance tag, but everything was 75% off the normal price. This is by far the best discount T.J.Maxx is offering right now.

Bunny Boulevard Egg Holders $1.50 (reg. $5.99)

Rae Dunn Bunny $2.50 (reg. $9.99)

Spring Fling Easter Baking Set $2.50 (reg. $9.99)

Rae Dunn Peep Egg Holders $3.25 (reg. $12.99)

Treat-Filled Easter Basket $5 (reg. $19.99)

All luggages was on clearance at my store, and this seems to be the case at most stores, based on what we’ve been seeing online. But the luggage deals don’t stack up to what I found at Ross. I spotted the same Jessica Simpson Hardside Carry-on for $48 at T.J.Maxx and $21.99 at Ross.

bebe Hardside Carry-on $48 (reg. $59.99)

Jessica Simpson Hardside Carry-on $48 (reg. $59.99)

Nearly all handbags have been discounted. Expect savings up to 30%.

American Leather Handbag $69 (reg. $99.99)

Steve Madden Handbag $28 (reg. $34.99)

A lot of the apparel was on clearance, with discounted clothing moved to its own section of the store. About half of the shoes were also on clearance, but don’t expect to find brand names like Nike and Converse included in the markdowns.

American Eagle Denim $15 (reg. $19.99)

A. Gianetti Wedges $28 (reg. $56)

While I did find a few pieces of furniture on clearance, there didn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason to their markdowns. I suspect my store was just trying to make room for new inventory by discounting pieces that have been on the floor for a while. It will be a treasure hunt in each store.
