Gardeners, save big on clearance plants from Lowe’s. Visit your Lowe’s store garden center, where you might find big discounts on plants that have finished blooming or don’t look as appealing anymore.

The secret is to look for perennials. Buy them thinking about the future — even if they look almost dead now, perennials come back year after year. I personally try to stay away from annuals because they complete their life cycle within one growing season and will only come back next year if the plant drops seeds.

My Lowe’s store had a huge table out in the parking lot where all roses were 75% off. They also had six-pack annuals for $0.50 and select perennials for just $1. As a reminder, clearance varies greatly by store.

Here are my finds:

6-Pack Marigold or Petunia – Annual $0.50 (reg. $2.98)

Creeping Phlox – Perennial $1 (reg. $7.98)

Variegated Weigela – Perennial $1 (reg. $8.98)

Firefly Sunshine Yarrow – Perennial $1 (reg. $10.98)

Golden Jackpot Weigela – Perennial $5 (reg. $32.98)

Rose Bush – Perennial $4.25 (reg. $16.98)
