Using coupons and Ibotta rebates scored me some great deals at Family Dollar.
Wise Snacks are on sale for $0.75 each this week when you buy four. I grabbed an assortment of chips and popcorn to stock my pantry.
Family Dollar sells small bottles of Biotene Mouthwash for $3.50. I printed a couple of $1/1 coupons from the Biotene website and used them both when I bought two bottles. I also submitted my receipt to Ibotta and got a total of $3 back in rebates.
I got a $1 rebate from Ibotta when I bought a box of Band-Aid Tough Strips. Plus, I saved even more by bringing along a $1/1 coupon that I had clipped from the July 19 SmartSource newspaper insert.
Next, I headed to the pet aisle with two $2/1 coupons for Purina DentaLife Dog Treats. I clipped them from a couple of June 14 RetailMeNot Everyday newspaper inserts and wanted to use them before they expire at the end of the month. I got a nice surprise when I saw that my local store now carries $1 bags of DentaLife. Since the coupons have no size restriction, I was able to use them to get both bags for free.
A friend tipped me off that there was a wide variety of Colgate toothpaste in the clearance aisle. I came prepared with two $0.75/1 coupons and, sure enough, I found Colgate Total Advanced Toothpaste marked down to $2. Using the coupons brought my cost down to $1.25 each.
After coupons and rebates, my total came to $8.75. That’s only $0.80 per item.
