I used high-value coupons to snag some awesome deals at Family Dollar this week.
I started out by grabbing a bottle of Purex Laundry Detergent. It was on sale for $4.45, and a $2.50/1 digital coupon brought the price down to $1.95.
Next, I headed to the health & beauty aisle to stock up on Garnier Fructis shampoo. It’s regularly priced at $3.50, but I had a $4/2 coupon that made each bottle $1.50 instead. I also chose a package of BIC Deuce Disposable Razors since I had a $2/1 digital coupon that made the razors $0.85. And I picked up a $1 tube of Colgate Kids toothpaste; I had a $0.50/1 newspaper coupon that cut my price in half.
Before I headed to the register, I decided to take a look at the clearance section. It can often be a fantastic place to get some serious savings on a variety of products at Family Dollar. Sure enough, I found Maybelline Shine Free Loose Powder on clearance for $2.50. And since I had brought along a $4/2 coupon, I got two for $0.50 each. Plus, I grabbed a box of Garnier Nutrisse hair color marked down to $4.50. A $1.50/1 coupon made it $3.
I left the store with detergent, toothpaste, razors, shampoo, makeup, and hair color and paid just $10.30 at checkout.

Note: Although only one Maybelline Powder is shown in the photo, I actually bought two.
