I used coupons and rebates to save on detergent, shampoo, mascara, and candy in the store at Family Dollar this week.

I started out by grabbing an easy deal on Purex laundry detergent. I bought a 50-ounce bottle priced at $3, and then submitted my receipt to Checkout 51 (download the app). I received a $2 rebate, making my final price $1. (Note: This rebate is no longer available. However, there’s a $0.50/1 Smart Coupon available for Purex 4-in-1 Pacs through Feb. 27.)

Next, I picked up a couple of Tresemme conditioners priced at $4 each. I brought along a $3/2 coupon from the Feb. 14 Unilever SmartSource insert. Plus, I clipped a stackable $1/1 digital store coupon. Using both coupons made each conditioner $2.

I couldn’t resist a quick bargain on Riesen candy. I submitted for a $0.75/2 Ibotta rebate (download the app) after I purchased two bags, making them just $0.63 each.

Just like last week’s Family Dollar shopping haul, I decided to take advantage of the Maybelline clearance still going on at my store. Since I had a $2/1 coupon from the Feb. 7 RetailMeNot Everyday insert, I used it to snag a Volum’ Express Mascara for $1.50.

After coupons and rebates, my final cost came to just $7.75.
