I mean, you’re taking notes anyway, right?!

Might as well get paid to do it. I’ll start you off with these six options:

1. Earn up to $400 a month by uploading notes with OneClass.

OneClass is a completely free way to make money by uploading notes from your college classes! Create an account here, choose the classes you’re in this semester or were previously enrolled in, and you can start racking up credits that can be cashed out for gift cards like Amazon, PayPal and Starbucks!

You’ll receive 25 credits for every document you upload, and you’ll earn 15 to 36 credits for downloads of your lecture, textbook or exam notes. The credit minimum to cash out is 800 credits, which equals a $10 gift card!

If you become a qualified note taker, you’ll have the opportunity to become an Elite Note Taker where you can earn triple the points for uploads!

Note: OneClass requires notes that are thorough and either handwritten or typed. There’s no limit to the amount of uploads or classes.

2. Earn up to $200 a month by uploading notes with Course Hero.

Course Hero is another way to earn money by uploading your notes. Register for an account, select the university and course(s) you’re enrolled in, and you’ll then be able to upload lab reports, study guides, homework explanations and more!

You’ll earn a maximum of $15 for someone who views your content and converts to becoming a Course Hero user. For two pieces of content, you’ll earn a maximum of $20. For every 20 'unlocks’ (downloads), you’ll also receive $1.

The cash-out minimum is $20 via PayPal.

Note: There’s no limit to the amount of uploads or classes.

3. Make up to $1,000 a month by uploading notes with NexusNotes.

NexusNotes helps your earn a passive income by uploading your notes from courses you’ve been in or are currently enrolled in. Create an account, upload your notes, which will be approved by NexusNotes, and from there, start earning money!

Every set of notes can be purchased for $35 a set. You’ll earn a 50% commission on each download, and Nexus Notes will keep the other 50%.

Payment is in the beginning of the month on 'PAYDAY’ through your PayPal account.

Note: Notes go through a reviewal process by NexusNotes, so they need to be of high quality. There is no limit to the amount of notes or classes.

4. Earn up to $500 a month by uploading notes with StudySoup.

StudySoup is very similar to NexusNotes; you can upload your notes from your past semester and earn a 50% commission off each download. Subscribers purchase your materials through a prepaid system called Karma Points. The 'price’ (Karma Points) for your notes is calculated by StudySoup depending on the material.

There are also 'Elite Notetakers’ that earn base pay plus commission during the semester. To become an Elite Notetaker, you need to fill out an application and sign a contractor agreement once accepted.

You’ll be required to post a study guide 4 days before an exam in that particular class which will earn you a base pay of $25 (maximum three exams per course). When subscribers buy your notes with their Karma Points, you’ll earn $4, and when they buy a study guide, you’ll earn $8.

The cash-out minimum is $25 via PayPal or direct deposit.

Note: Regular notetakers will upload past semester notes into a bundle, and Elite notetakers will upload weekly throughout the semester.

5. Earn up to $100 a month by uploading notes with NoteUtopia.

NoteUtopia allows you to upload notes from your classes and set your own price. The main difference with NoteUtopia is that you’ll have to do a bit of socializing to notify your classmates you’re selling notes online. Students can then pick their class, see your notes, buy and download them!

The average (starting) selling price usually is $1 for notes, $2 for a study guide, $3 for a paper and so forth. As you start to build up your notes and ratings go up by users, you can start to charge more! The cash-out minimum is $15 through PayPal.

Note: Notes do not go through an approval process by NoteUtopia. Instead, users can leave reviews with a 1-star to 5-star rating. There’s no limit to how many documents you can upload or classes.

6. Get paid $200 a month by taking notes for your university’s Disability Resource Center.

Go to your university’s Disability Resource Center and see if you qualify to take notes for students who have disabilities. Not only will you be helping out a fellow student in need, but you’ll also get paid!

You’ll usually earn a stipend for the semester or get paid by each set of notes you take. At Cal Poly, you can get paid $50 for each lecture class and $25 for lab notes per class, per quarter!
