Here are some helpful tips for shopping Dollar General during the coronavirus pandemic:

Dollar General hours

Dollar General hours have changed. While opening hours remain the same, stores are closing an hour early to give employees enough time to restock shelves, clean stores, and care for their own well-being. Check your local Dollar General hours because they may vary by location.

Senior shopping hours

As of March 17, the first hour that stores are open is designated for senior and at-risk customers. Dollar General is encouraging everyone who is able to wait the extra hour, do so to ensure the stores are not crowded.

Dollar General supply and shopping limits

Dollar General is taking seriously the responsibility to continue providing for customers with everyday essentials. In efforts to make sure everyone has what they need, there’s a limit of three for all paper products, hand sanitizer, and wipes purchases.

Supply restocks

Dollar General stores only get one or two trucks with new supplies each week. The staff restocks shelves daily with what they have available. Even with this effort, many essential items are in short supply and may not be available. Dollar General is actively working with their vendors to get additional supplies and put them out on shelves as fast as possible.

Returns

As of now, no changes in the return policy have been made. Read up on the Dollar General return policy here.
