We can use the Cheerios Honey Nut coupons? The picture ad only shows the regular Cheerios, so I was just wondering.

Went to the Albertson’s on Meridian/Cherry, bought 4 cases of Dr Pepper for $10 (B2G2) then $5 catalina printed :) Verified with cashier that the $5 catalina is only for Dr Pepper.

Hey, I have turned in to a coupon junkie since the recession hit. I recently found your website and it looks good but im not sure how to use it. Using the following example

      Cheerios $1.88
      $1.00/2 (IE) – General Mills – (bricks.coupons.com)
      $1.00/2 (FF) – General Mills – (bricks.coupons.com)
      $1.00/2 – General Mills – (boxtops4education.com)
      $1.00/2 – General Mills – (pillsbury.com)
      $1.00/1 (IE) – Cheerios – (bricks.coupons.com)
      $1.00/1 (FF) – Cheerios – (bricks.coupons.com)
      $0.55/1 – Cheerios, Honey Nut – (pillsbury.com)
      $0.55/1 – Cheerios, Honey Nut – (boxtops4education.com)
      $0.75/1 – Cheerios, MultiGrain – (coupons.com)
      $0.55/1 – Cheerios, Original – (coupons.com)
      Final Price: FREE- $0.44

what does (IE) and (FF) mean? also the original price is 1.88 final price is free-.44 cents what coupons where used to get it to be free? and can you always use double coupons @ albertons?

      thanks much
      Eric

        IE = Internet Explorer
        FF = Firefox

The $1/1 Cheerios coupon makes them FREE after you factor in the Catalina.

Albertsons has double coupons in Idaho, Oregon Washington and some other NW States. California and Nevada do not usually see double coupons.

      Eric-

(IE) and (FF) stand for Internet Explorer and Fire Fox, one link for each browser.
The final price reflects the price of the item when factoring in the Catalina you will get after your transaction.
Also, Doublers have experation dates just like regular coupons, so you can only use them when specified.
      Hope this helps!

Paul’s has boneless, skinless chicken for $1.49lb until Wed. Every once in awhile they will have a good price on something!

Pauls also has those tostinos for .88 cents. With coupons it comes to .67 cents. You have to use 4 points per though.

I’m wondering about the Albertson’s GM deal…if I’m trying to stock up and spend the $30.00, then I want to buy multiples of items. Can I use one coupon for EACH box of cereal in the same transaction? For example, if I buy 4 boxes of Cheerios and have 4 coupons, can I use them all at the same time, or can I only use 1 coupon? It makes a big difference!

        Hi Jenn,

Yes, you can use 4 coupons on 4 boxes of Cheerios. If you have the $1/2 then use 2 of those and if you have the $.55/1 then use 4 of those.

Thanks for helping me understand! I wondered why there were multiple links/coupons for the same item. I’m starting to figure this out! :-)

How does this work? The final prices do not make sense, even at 50% unless you are doubling some of them. Then the math still doesn’t add up!

      • 9.1
        Nikki says:
        November 3, 2009 at 9:51 am

It does add up. It does take a little understanding though to know that it does. Their final price is factoring in the catalina and coupons. Since the catalina is $15 back and you had to reach $30, that is 50% so every item listed will have 50% off, and it will have the coupon subtracted.

        Here is an example:
        Best Foods Mayo $2.99
        $1.00/1 – Hellman’s Mayo – (vivamejor.com)
        Final Price: $0.49
starting price 2.99, take 50% off then it is 1.49, then the coupon is for 1.00 so now it is .49 which is what they have listed for the final price.

        Now another example:
        Golden Grahams $1.88
        $1.00/2 (IE) – General Mills – (bricks.coupons.com)
        $1.00/2 (FF) – General Mills – (bricks.coupons.com)
        $1.00/2 – General Mills – (boxtops4education.com)
        $1.00/2 – General Mills – (pillsbury.com)
        Final Price: $0.44
This one starts out at 1.88, take 50% that makes it .94, now for the coupon and since the coupon is for 2 items you can only use half of the coupon for one item so subtracting .50 from .94 the final price is .44 for 1 item, but you would have to buy 2 to use the coupon, so she could have listed it .88 for 2 items. However, in couponing, we almost always want to know how much it is for 1 item, even if we know we have to buy 2, so she is nice enough to do that part of the math for us as well.

Make sense, or are you still confused.

I can’t find the ragu one either or the mayo coupon. Also the country crock is just for Vit D but if you go to the website there is one for any country crock product. :)

I think the peanut butter is a great deal. It’s usually the smaller size that’s on sale but still a good deal considering the reg. price for this same size at walmart is $2. Factor in your .75 cent coupon and the catalina–hard to beat

I’m sorry, this is driving me crazy! Wouldn’t the 50% come off at the end, because you can’t use the catalina until you have used all of your manufacturer coupons first, or am I still just really confused?

@Kim, the catalinas print once you reach $30 BEFORE coupons. That means when you’re figuring the OOP price, you take the catalina discount first (50%), then subtract any coupons you have for the items. I know its a little confusing, but remember to take the catalina discount FIRST and subtract the coupon SECOND. It doesn’t really matter when you use the catalina when you’re paying because figuring the OOP doesn’t change. Like Heather said, your first trans will be high because you won’t have your catalinas (or cats as we like to call them) yet. But on subsequent transactions you will have your cats.

      Hope this helps

      Someone,

A catalina is a printable coupon that prints at the register after you purchase the amount that is required. So when you spend $30.00 you can still use coupons and reduce your out of pocket expense and still get a $15.00 catalina. If your store doesn’t do double coupons, I’m sorry. It’s just an added bonus that some states do. Hope this helps!

So after a day i think i am going to go raid Albertsons shelves on Wednesday. A few questions though

      1. Catalina coupon=is only for general mills products? Or do they switch the catilina up this week general mills and next week might be johnson n johnson.

      2. the albertons 11/4 preview- how do you get that i want to start clipping the store coupons now.

when i go to there site the 0ct 3rd weekly add is still up

      3. does it pay to wait till next week so i can use both flyers(wend and sunday)

thanks much and keep up the site going

        Heather says:
        November 3, 2009 at 10:16 pm

        1. Catalina: Sometimes abbreviated as “CAT”, Catalina coupon machines located at register, dispense long receipt-like coupons that may be used on a future purpchase. Catalinas, refer to the coupons themselves which may be manufacturer or store coupons. Some Catalina coupons are advertised and some are generated based on consumer behavior. So yes, it could be Johnson and Johnson next week.

        2. We see scanned copies of the ad, usually on Monday before the sale starts.

        3. Usually if you wait, you run the risk of items selling out. It’ll be up to you…

Someone – there are no Albertsons in Northern California. And no doublers (at least in the Bay Area) for any stores.

QUESTION: I live in Northern California, but my parents live in Southern Cal, where they do have Albertsons. How long does the GM promo last? I am going down there on the 11th for a visit, and want to know if it will still be going on (so I can load up my car before I drive back home!) Anyone?

So the $15 on your next order, can that be used on anything you buy or is it on GM products only?? Might be a dumb question, but I’m really trying to figure this all out. Thanks!

        Carissa says:
        November 9, 2009 at 9:35 am

Kalli: the $15 is good on any item(s). However if you’re planning on doing multiple transations of the GM promo I would use them on those first, since you’ll get another $15 back.
        For example:
-Do 1st $30 promo transaction, get back $15 cat
-Do 2nd $30 promo transaction, PAY with $15 cat, AND get another $15 cat back
        -and so on..
This is what we call “rolling” your cats. I usually do this until I’m done with the promo and then use the remaining $15 cat on whatever else I need or save it for the next weeks sales. Hope that helps!
