I would price check the item before buying the turkey. The walgreens in Austin, Texas did not have it listed on the item (2.50 each or 2 for 5.00) but it came up at the register. It worked for Turkey and Ham products and I got the 3.00 RR bucks.

I just did this deal 6/23…..2 ham & 2 turkey worked great & used $1. moneymaker from the Easy Absorb Calcium ($10.- $10. rew – $1. coup, so free plus $1. moneymaker which expires 6/25) …. ended up with each package of meat being $1.00! Meat doesn’t expire until mid August & it will be long gone by then ;-) Thanks everyone for the tips…..it really helps extend our dollars!

    You can also do this at Albertson’s (I’m in North Texas). They’re on sale for 1.99 WYB 2 (there’s a limit of 2), so buy 4 total, 2 @ 1.99, 2 @ 2.99, use 2 of the $1/2 from SS 5/15
    Buy 4 for 9.96
    - 2.00 coupons = 7.96
    get $3.00 Catalina = 4.96
    Making them 1.24 each!

Good to know…I’m in South Texas (Austin) so no alberstons here. We do have a Randalls though :)

Can someone please tell me what a register reward is? I also noticed that with some Walgreens items you need to have the “coupon book from June” where do we get Walgreens coupon books? Thanks so much xoxox

    • Lecoupon7 says:

Register Rewards (RR’s) are printed out of the separate receipt-like machine (like at the grocery store) AFTER your purchase is completed at Walgreens, when you buy participating items. To get the RR’s you must purchase exactly what is included in the promo in one transaction (if the promo includes a bunch of different products, make sure you purchase the minimum quantity or dollar amount. Also make sure the items are exactly the size/qty specified, so sometimes a 10oz might be included but a 15oz won’t be).

The June coupon book is a skinny book that’s by the weekly ads in the store. They are free and there are usually PLENTY of them. Grab one and keep it with you, they’ll only scan the coupon or enter the code, they will not need to physically take these coupons from you (this usually goes for any Walgreen’s coupons).

THANK YOU so much for responding. I’m new to couponing and did my first trip yesterday and saved tons. I’m now addicted. I have looked at other sites like coupon mom and such but this one seems to be the easiest to navigate. Are there any other places that you’d recommend?

I got 8 packages of ham and the deal worked great (4 each transaction) but when I tried the turkey, it wouldn’t work. Is it working for anyone else?
