Just when you thought you knew the Kardashians. . .

Make sure to watch Kourtney and Kim Take New York on E! News this Sunday, January 1st, if you want to see Kourtney couponing at Walgreens!

According to Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe got Kourtney into extreme couponing after watching the show on TLC, and now she’s totally addicted to coupons!  In this week’s episode, you’ll see Kourtney and Kim shopping with their coupons at Walgreens!  Looks like she bought Scott brand paper towels and a shopping cart full of other goodies!

Kourtney and Kim Kardashian couponing at the local drugstore will, no-doubt, be catalyst for lively conversations regarding a family known for spending!  So, what’s your opinion?  Are these coupon-clipping-Kardashians sincere, or is this a big stunt?

Here’s what this Krazy Coupon Lady thinks:  I love that Kourtney is couponing!  It appears as if she’s the one spearheading the addiction, not her sister, Kim.  Kourtney is a young Mom, and although she may not be struggling financially, certainly not by our standards, I totally respect that she wants to save money with coupons.  I take offense at the out-dated attitude that coupons are exclusively for the poor.  I firmly believe that couponing is for intelligent individuals of any age, gender or socio-economic background who want to spend their money on something other than consumable groceries!  I envy a girl who stuffs coupons into her Chanel purse, but I say, ‘More power to you, Kourtney!’

I’ve set my DVR for Kourtney and Kim Take New York, and I’ll be anxious to see what spin the show puts on the episode!  E! is playing previews now.  Looks like Kourtney’s husband is giving her a hard time for her couponing.  None of you coupon ladies can relate to that, right?  :)

  1. OMG, LOVE IT!! Just because you make alot of money honey, dont mean you have to spend it all! Save your money girl!

  2. My husband gives me a hard time about it. He says it just takes up too much time! Uggggh, that aggravates me because when I can get tings for him for free, then it’s okay. WTH? Any other ladies have that problem?

I was flipping through the channels and changed it to “Two Broke Girls” and stopped b/c I saw it was about couponing, they were buying 40 boxes of Betty Crocker to get $23 back. Thought it was pretty funny. I also saw the Kardashian episode….

For someone who can’t afford to buy very many groceries without coupons its a bit of a slap in the face. She is buying items like toilet paper that she doesnt even need. If you want to get your kicks out of doing couponing than at least donate the items you don’t need to people who do!

The coupon lady they had on the show really did look sad and crazy. Next to Kourtney she looked like a bagger. I wonder if that is what I am turning into. :(

I did not see anything positive re the depiction of couponers in that show. This site got lots of free publicity though. Good for them!!!

Did you see she used your website?!

Kourtney, if your reading this blog this means that you still have couponing on your mind:)
I was delighted to see that you took an interest in couponing while living my home town of NYC. Couponing is for everyone regarless of their financial backgroud. Personally, couponing helped me survve when I was living on one income and did not have much disposable income after paying my monthly bills. When I found soup, tea bags and low cost meat on sale, I would purchase enough get by for two weeks. On top of needing just food, there are other items that can be quite costly such as tioletries and other non-food items.
A big high five to you for showing the world that using coupons is one of the most intelligent ways to spend your spare time. In the long run, it pays off well and all it cost is your time.
Congratulations to you and Scott on expecting your second child. This is truly a blessing that I personally have never experienced. Be well!

What time is it and what channel does it come on for Dish Network?

I might have to watch it…:-)

I’ll be watching for sure. Anyone can coupon – including reality stars.

this site thekrazycouponlady.com has proven they will shill anyone and/or anything to make a buck.

The only reason the KLOWNDASHIANS were videod couponing was to try and quell the backlash of people sick and tired of these talentless klowns who became famous because KIM MADE A PORNO..

Their PR people are trying to make them seem to more relatable to everyday folks and get us to buy their trash products again.

This site has no ethics AND no morals making money from these links about sleeze.

I think that is an unfair and RIDICULOUS statement against the women who run this site. I have never seen them run an offensive or trashy article.

The women who run this site are intelligent and highly ethical. They stand up against coupon fraud and make sure to teach their readers how not to participate in fraud. I also don’t think it’s fair to say that they have no morals; a lot of their readers are women who might actually enjoy watching “Keeping up with the Kardashians”, or who, even if they dislike the show or the family, might get a kick out of seeing them coupon.

Shame on you for being so nasty on New Year’s Eve. Do you want to take such a bad attitude into 2012? I don’t!

they pimp known sites that are none to be questionable when it comes to computer security and will sell their souls for click throughs.

what won’t they do to be in the spotlight?

  13. my husband gave me a hard time at first. well he tried to. once he saw he was being ignored lol, he finally left me alone and started to appreciate the money i am saving us..

  14. I agree that couponing is not for the poor! I was broke in college but never used coupons. Now, I have a great job and secure financially, but use coupons all the time because it keeps more money in my wallet! I enjoy teaching others and explaining how couponing works. People’s jaws drop when they hear about the money I save. I’m proud to be a couponer!!

is it bad for me to be concerned that “couponing” is getting too popular? My brother-in-law works in advertising for Proctor and Gamble. He told me that their redemption rates have gone from about 3% to 6% recently. This means that P and G’s coupon budget essentially shrank in half. They are already pulling coupons from being printed in 2012 because the redemption rates are so high, they can’t afford to keep printing as many coupons as they used to. Companies have a finite budget for coupon redemption. The higher the redemption rates, the fewer and lower value the coupons will eventually become. Several Crest coupons have already been pulled from 2012. :(

    • If true: OMGosh always couponed n fearful that the above would become reality since TLCs show waz even beggin to be advertised. . .

    • Anonymous says:

I have noticed stores getting very picky about accepting coupons. I also wondered if companies would start limiting coupons and changing the wording on them.

I will say that they may see their sales go down as well if they reduce coupons. If it’s not a good sale/coupon then we won’t buy. We are not at the mercy of these companies or the stores that carry the products. They need us to buy their products. I think they need to appreciate people who coupon and the people who coupon need to follow the rules so everyone is happy!

I thought this was the only site where there where no stupid Kardashians articles, guess im not going to be in this site for a while.

  17. LOL… I say you have to be smart and have common sense both when using coupons, if not you will lose more than you save… Just to throw this out there also… You can be smart and poor at the smae time… I am a stay at home mom of 4 kids and have a college degree but yet still according to state guidelines our family is in the proverty bracket, and yes my husband has a great job as a police officer … So poor yes but we are very educated!!!

    • Chelsea says:

Yay police!!!!! My boyfriend is a Denver Firefighter (Hose Draggers as the DPD calls them :P ) Where would any of us be without public safety personnel!? I admire them, as I could never do any of their jobs! And we’re only 22 and I coupon. We’re educated and poor too!!!! LOL

  18. Anonymous says:

I can’t wait to watch this show tomorrow!!!…

  19. Laura Jean says:

Media-hungry idiots. I’m far from impressed. I wish we’d stop giving them the attention they crave.

  20. I love it too! Anyone should be allowed to save up money with coupons! It isnt some exclusive club!

  21. Anonymous says:

Q- What does Kourtney think of her baby’s daddy?

A- (Look at the shopping cart in the picture for the answer.)

  22. Mommy Three says:

I too am “middle class”, my husband makes @90K and I’m a stay-at-home mom of 3 girls (ages 6,8,&14)…I’m so blessed; However, Q’ing has made a huge difference in our lives! I use to go to Wal-Mart, grocery stores, etc. and pay “full” price…YIKES! However, after watching the show, earlier in the year, I told myself, “if they can do that, I can do that”! And, I have done it since July 1, 2011! I was able to donate @150.00 to the animal shelter and @2K to the homeless shelter….in just 5 months :) I will continue to Q’pon until the day I die! It feels soooooo good to donate AND to be able to save my family $!

  23. Anonymous says:

One can hope that the more popular couponing becomes the more Retailers will cater to couponers. Wouldn’t that be nice ;).

  24. Angela White says:

I have gone how many years now without ever watching any of those chick’s shows. Must…stay…strong… QUIT TEMPTING ME, YOU TEMPRESSES!!!

    • Anonymous says:

My son said the same thing when he saw your profile pic, Angela! :-)

      • Angela White says:

HA! That pic actually was a topic of conversation at my family Christmas gathering. I was like “Look, I relatively recently gained weight in a particular area where I never had weight before and I’m gonna show it off gosh darnit!” Only I used better/more swear words.

Pizzaz is happy to see the Kardashians couponing. It doesn’t matter that they are selfish, self-centered and self-absorbed. It doesn’t matter that Kim’s butt is so big that people think she is backing up when her beeper goes off. Nor does it matter that their mothers voice and personality cause others to contemplate suicide. It doesn’t even matter that Bruce Jenner has had so much plastic surgery that he always looks surprised. So what if several NBA players have seen more action with them than on the court? If they can save .50-cents on an EPT Pregnancy Test, who are we to deprive their children of the millions of dollars that they will need for psychotherapy when they get older?

  26. Sorry for the spelling. I typed way to fast to respond to this, lol…

  27. In this husehold we do no lie paycheck to paycheck. My husband makes $72,000 a year and we have 5 children. We arwe by no means well off. we have many bills but have very little debt. I LOVE couponing because it saves money. Rich or poor I would do it. I think it is wonderful that Court is couponing. As a young mother like her I think it is the best way to go. In her case being who she is, I think she is being a wonderful role model for others. Keep it up Court. I love the Kardashians but I think the rest of them could learn from Court!!!

  28. Anonymous says:

It’s all real. Can’t be a stunt. After all, it’s on TV, isn’t it? Reality TV, that is…..>tongue in cheek<

With the Kardashians, everything is done for a reason. They know you'll be talking about it. That's what they want.

If they want to do coups, more power to them.

  29. Theresa Ramirez says:

It is just another ploy to get more attention! Kim is editing it, so, you will only see what she wants you to see. I do not believe what she does on the show is reality. It is cut and paste from the facts.

  30. Anonymous says:

I’m guessing that they didn’t need a manager’s approval on any coupons that beeped!!!

  31. I saw this the other day and my boyfriend looked at me and laughed I’m like yea and you made fun of me?! I think its awesome she’ll put a new spin on it and make it more popular, make women not afraid to support this fun sport! And yes I consider it a sport!

  32. Which episode is it? What time? The 9 or 10pm EST?

  33. Anonymous says:

Well, this is a shocker, lol. But do we really expect them to do this long term? I am three years in and it is a lifestyle change for my family and I. I mean do you think they will use baby formula in their coffee instead of creamer just because they have too much formula from coupons? Are they going to be able to let go of brand loyalty in order to start a good stockpile? Will they give family members gift baskets from their stockpiles for Christmas? Probably not. They probably give them Porsches. lol But on the other hand, it seems to be a POSITIVE spin on couponing. That we are not all low income trashy people just because we choose to spend our money wisely. It may be part publicity but also they probably tried it just for fun once and got that same rush we all did.

    • they are just seeking more attention, they saw how much the extreme couponers get from the show.

      • Anonymous says:

I agree with you 100%, Marie. They are doing this only for the attention and shock value. They see how popular the show is and couponing is, and they’re trying to appeal to a wider audience to get more fans for their shows and products. There is no way she is couponing when the cameras aren’t around.

      • Anonymous says:

agree.. just another way to bring more viewers and make more money. Starting to get annoyed with their shenanigans

        • Anonymous says:

That explains why Kim has one of her servants following her with an ATM in the above picture! :)

    • Anonymous says:

Eeeewww… baby formula in your coffee!! lol… I prefer cow juice in mine, none of the powdered stuff, but I think I would sooner suffer without coffee than drink it with formula.

And more power to the Kardashians for getting some positive attention, even if it may be a short-lived habit or stunt. Maybe more people will look at couponers like stars or superheros. :)

    • Anonymous says:

I’m really into couponing, but I don’t give up the things I like and love. I don’t have a big stockpile – I limit it to one closet and a few other big items outside because I hate clutter. I donate the things that I don’t like and overstock the things I do.

  34. Anonymous says:

I can’t wait to see it! Super excited :D

  35. My husband and I make 55k a year and more since I decided to work part time and I love couponing! Not only have I found a new hobby but I am able to give back to people in my community by donating my free products to the YWCA. Maybe Kourtney will design some really cute coupon organizers and binder covers!

  36. Anonymous says:

I can see Kourtney couponing since she has a family of her own. Kim…not so. She doesnt look too thrilled….LOL.

  37. Anonymous says:

Our household income exceeded $300k this year and we use coupons. I agree that coupons are for the smart not poor. We prefer to spend the money saved on other things.

      Would you adopt me?

    • Anonymous says:

      me too? please?

    • Anonymous says:

im only 24 i can stilll be adopted =]..i still act like a teenager..also u can have my 6 year old son. 2 for 1 deal..isn’t that what couponing is about?

    • Anonymous says:

So you are saying that poor people are not smart? Wow just wow! I hate to disagree with you on that one. I am poor I coupon because I have a family to provide for. I am not poor by choice I am poor because I got laid off and have been unable to find another job. So shame on you for your comment. Just because you use coupons doesn’t make you smart.

      • I think her comment actually meant for any income level- people should be smart and coupon! I also have a limited income, but I choose to save everywhere I can, and use the savings to help offset my sons college tuition. When I think of the word poor, i dont think of limited finances- i think poor as in lack of knowledge, cuz some poor suckers out there still pay fulll price for toothpaste!

        • EDITH says:

“I agree that coupons are for the smart not poor” These are the words of her text and I agree with cooksarah78.

          • Anonymous says:

Christine is correct, Sarah and Edith both misunderstood me. Of course no one activity makes a person smart or stupid but using coupons is smart regardless of your household income.

    • EDITH says:

you’re stupid asS can be and greedy!

      • Anonymous says:

I am neither stupid nor greedy but you have no way of knowing either of those things about me one way or the other. As to my original comment I was in no way implying that poor people are unintelligent only that saving money where possible is an indication of financial intelligence and so smart. I sure do appreciate the baseless attacks though!

    • Kimberly Randall says:

No offense, but being a multi-millionaire is not nearly the same thing as 300k/year.

  38. karinav says:

lmao i saw it too i got so excited i wanna see it ps, my bf got mad too he says i care more about coupons then him lol
