  1. Wendy Lou, HS math teacher says:

I was laughing myself when you asked if chalkboards still exist and they do.  Although I recently had a high tech board installed.  Chalkboards are better at times because they allow students to show their work with more than one at a time at the board.  Shopping for my own classroom supplies every year due to budget cuts, I really appreciate the heads up.

  2. Krystal Bancroft says:

I went to Office Max to spend $5.00 and get the water paints, erasers, and glue for free! The cashier was so rude and told me that the sell wasn’t this week? Any suggestions?

    • Danielle says:

I’m live in FL and the ad was different for me…the free items were rulers, crayons, and pencil sharpeners.  Maybe yours was different too :)

  3. Kingai5269 says:

Not sure if this is mentioned anywhere but Office Depot price matches (price matched a calculator from Walmart sale and the $0.25 Bic pencils from Staples). I have not checked the other office supply stores, but they may do the same. And as always Walmart and Target will price match too:D

  4. Sarah says:

Staples, When it says free or .01 with $5 dollar purchase, does that mean I can get everything as long as I spent the $5 or is it like $10 if I wanted to get lets say binders and tissues. I am so confused.

    • Evjenth says:

i was just wondering the same thing… does anyone have the answer?

    • Anonymous says:

So you’ll need to spend $5 (after coupons and before tax) of other merchandise to be able to get the binder, tissues, folders, and paper clips for their advertised price. The binders and penny items don’t count toward that first $5. So a good transaction might be to buy a ream of the paper to reach that $5 minimum, then get the tissues and binders you want.

  5. hanna says:

I really like that polka dot backpack :) but I cant seem to find it on officemax’s website. what is the items name ?

  6. ChristineClipsCoupons says:

Anyone have suggestions on how to spend $100+ in MaxPerks rewards? I’m really tempted by the backpack and paper deals but MaxPerks expire in 90 days and you have to spend them in-store versus Staples rebates where you get a check that you can deposit into your bank account.

  7. Anonymous says:

At Staples I got 4 of the 5 pk Bic mechanical pencils for 7cents (tax).  They are 25 cents each and with a 1.00 off 2 Bic coupon, all 4 were essentially free. I was prepared to use 2 coupons to get the 4, the cashier returned one of the coupons back to me….sweet deal!!!

  8. ash07dc says:

THERE IS A $1 OFF 2 COUPON ON BIC PEN PALS FACEBOOK SITE. ENTER THE CONTEST THEN WHEN YOU SUBMIT IT THERE WILL BE A BOX THAT SAYS DOWNLOAD COUPON!!! I was so excited =) because i didnt get any of the bic coupons in the newspaper

  9. AB64 says:

Did I see a B1G1 deal somewhere on five star products? Just got the RP for 8/5 and we have Five Star coupons I want to use.

    • Anonymous says:

They are on sale at OfficeMax for Buy 2, Get One Free, and Walgreens and Rite Aid for Buy One, Get One Free.

      • AB64 says:

Awesome, thanks! Knew I saw them somewhere -get lost in all these deals. What a great problem to have!

  10. Nay6862 says:

I live here in Sacramento and Staples didn’t have the same free deals you had. I’ve been watching you two for 5 wks and all the deals have been right on. Don’t know why this week is different:( thanks keep them coming love it

  11. Roslyn Quintero says:

The bic mechanical pencils at staples .25
    Coupon 1 off 2
    4@ 25. Plus tax equals 1.09 – 1.00= .09 for 4
    I’m in mesa Arizona

  12. Scrapbook2000 says:

I did the OfficeMax deals from the first week, and noticed I did not get the paper rebate on my receipt.  On reading the fine print in the newspaper ad, it appears you don’t qualify for the MaxPerks rebate deals until you have spent $500 per quarter – can anyone confirm or deny that?  I won’t make it to $500 until the end of the year probably, so it means these smaller deals won’t be as beneficial for me.  Any help/advice you can give is appreciated!

    • Keriberri says:

I just signed up for the MaxPerks and this is straight from the User Agreement:
      Overview

MaxPerks Rewards (“MaxPerks”) is an OfficeMax®
customer reward program that allows you to earn $25 in rewards to spend
at OfficeMax for every $500 in qualified purchases that you make during
the year. Additionally, from time to time, OfficeMax may offer
MaxPerks Bonus Rewards for purchases of specified products. You will
also receive exclusive savings offers through the mail and email. If
you do not want the exclusive savings offers, just log into your account
and change your profile or call 1-866-MAXPERKS (1-866-629-7375).

    • Anonymous says:

The $500 part of MaxPerks is separate from the MaxPerks promotions we talked about in the video. Just part of MaxPerks is that if you spend $500 in a year, you get a $25 reward. That doesn’t mean you won’t get your MaxPerks credit (from say, a backpack purchase this week)– you still will. But if you happen to spend $500 in a year, you can also get that extra $25 reward. Does that make sense?

  13. Mooo says:

I just called Maxperks Rewards hotline, they told me that you can only do the rewards up to the limit per customer, not per transaction. Meaning, for this ad week, if you buy 3 duracell batts, you get a reward for the 2batts. If you make another transaction today or tomorrow, before the ad week stops, and buy more duracellbatts, you cannot get more rewards for those. Can you pls verify this? Because what you state on your video is not what the Maxperks Rewards CS is telling me. I spoke with 2 agents, they said the same thing.

    • Anonymous says:

Our cashiers told us that it would work per transaction, but we confirmed with Corporate and they said the limit is per week per member.

  14. Christine says:

My Staples wouldn’t except my bic coupon…I was told I couldn’t use it because they are on sale for a quarter. Has anyone else had this problem?

    • Raquel says:

Yes, they told me the computer system is not set up to adjust the coupon down. :(

    • Yes, I had that same problem. I asked them if they would adjust the cpn amount down but they would not. I have seen other posts that some people are able to do this at their store, I hate when different area’s have different policies.

    • tatyana19 says:

I’m going to price match this at walmart – free plus overage. :)

  15. Danielle says:

Hey KCL’s!  Next week walgreens will have 8ct. Expo markers for $4.99.  There is a $1 off coupon on there facebook page making them $3.99.  Anyone know if this is a good price?

    • Keriberri says:

At my Office Max, they had buy 2 expo pens, get 2 free, plus there was a
$5 off coupon (tear pad) when you buy 3.  So I purchased 4 packs of
expo pens for $1.65 each!  Each pack had 4 pens in it, so I paid $3.30 for 8.

    • Allfhmainegirl says:

Last year I was able to get the 2 marker packs free. If these are the big markers, it’s a decent price. I’m holding out for better prices.

  16. Tatwymer says:

Won’t let me print, keeps giving error message and closing program. Help

  17. Anonymous says:

Was the Office Max a local ad?  Here in South Florida they did not have the eraser caps, glue and paint, they had crayons and rulers and pencil sharpeners, 2 free with $5 purchase.

    • Tina Volk says:

Same thing for me in central texas, one city has the glue and paint and caps, while another city only 20 miles away has the crayons and ruler, and sharpeners. In fact both ads are completely different.

    • Kim says:

same in east TN, but my store was very nice and i showed them the ad for ny online and they price matched.

    • Anonymous says:

Some deals do vary by location, so it’s always a good thing to double check your ad circular to make sure things match up.

    • Nay6862 says:

Mine in sacramento had what you have  I wish it have what Krazycouponladys had. They told me i might see that ad in a week or 2.

  18. Anonymous says:

Is there a rebate limit on the paper at Staples or can I get it for each sales cycle? I did it last time they had this deal and want to again but only if I can get the rebate.

    • Anonymous says:

The limit is almost always 2 (check the ad, it will always state the limit), and the limits are per week. So even if you did it last week, you can do it again this week.

    • Carly11 says:

it resets each week. I got two last week and two this week.

  19. Anonymous says:

Is anyone finding RoseArt at Wal-Mart?  It appears in my area that they have a brand called Cra-Z-Art that looks to be similar to RoseArt.

    • Anonymous says:

Many KCLs are reporting the same thing, that Walmart has replaced selling RoseArt and instead is selling Cra-Z-Art. If you still wanted to price match, you could try out Target.

  20. hanna says:

i dont have an office max near me at all :( would it be worth it to get a max perks rewards card and then purchase the deals online ? also if you use maxperks rewards to purchase a maxperks bonus rewards item will you still get rewards for that item( kind of like the “rolling” at drugstores ) ?

    • Susudiane says:

They have free shipping if the order is $50.  If you want to make the initial investment and then order in $50 increments you could use rewards and have free shipping.

  21. NARVAEZ652 says:

a question that is the MAXPERKS ?

    • Anonymous says:

So you pay for the item out of pocket and then the listed amount back is issued in the form of a Reward Card, redeemable toward future OfficeMax purchases, basically like Rite Aid +Up rewards or Walgreens’ Register Rewards. The credit expires 90 days from issuance.

      • Faith_werks says:

My Office Max said I had to spend 500 before I got a 25 Dollar in store credit, not getting a reward to use later, that’s not really worth it for me.

  22. Keriberri says:

At my Office Max, they had buy 2 expo pens, get 2 free, plus there was a $5 off coupon (tear pad) when you buy 3.  So I purchased 4 packs of expo pens for $1.65 each!

    • Allfhmainegirl says:

I didn’t see a tear pad at mine, but I wasn’t really looking. I’m a teacher so these are a must-have. Last year, I was the only teacher not needing markers. I stocked up when they were free.

      • Rxclemente says:

My office max has the tear pad too and I used it week before last and got a bunch of sharpies and highlighters completely free!!!! But the ad this week said cannot combine with coupon so my officemax wouldn’t let me do it with the expo deal. :(

        • Keriberri says:

Oooops!  I didn’t realize the ad said that!  I guess I got lucky!  The cashier didn’t question me and I didn’t have a sales paper on me, so I guess that is why I didn’t notice.

  23. Kim says:

Do MaxPerks have an expiration date?

    • Anonymous says:

MaxPerks issued in next statement cycle in form of a Reward Card redeemable toward future OfficeMax purchases, and expires 90 days from issuance (except for Florida, which is a year).

  24. Anonymous says:

Amazing!  I can surely make use more of these deals for my shopping schedule this week.

    Thanks!

  25. Momonabudget says:

OUCH, That punch looked like it hurt. LOL. Thanks KCL for all these awesome deals.

  26. pamela says:

If you have a hyvee store near you they have the bic pens on sale 2/$1 this week so the coupon we just got on sunday makes them free – yay!
