Walgreens Extreme Couponing (Week of 8/19): $5.00 or Less
Welcome to this post where we will lay out some extreme couponing deals that will cost you about $5.00 each week! First, here’s everything you need to know about shopping at Walgreens:

Walgreens allows one manufacturer coupon and one store coupon per product. You may use Walgreens Register Rewards in addition to these coupons. The Register Rewards print like a Catalina on a little machine near the cash register. The most important thing to remember when coupon shopping at Walgreens is that you have to have as many items to purchase as you have coupons, including any Register Rewards you want to use. We often use “filler” (cheap, extra items) so that we have enough items to purchase.

Before shopping at Walgreens, you might want to review the Walgreens How-To Video. Walgreens is certainly the hardest drugstore to shop, but it has the best deals! What I like most is that you can repeat the deals and get more product. The limits are just one per transaction, so you can get more than one item–just don’t clear the shelves! Here’s a link to the coupon policy.

  1. I just got back from my local Walgreens and it was an epic fail. They wouldn’t let me use the Glade coupon because it was more than the sale price, then they wouldn’t let me use RR with my coupons because they were both issued by P&G (admitedly I switched a few things around in the trans order to add a few other deals) so in the end, I nicely returned what I bought the first transaction because nothing ended up being a good deal. Apparently I didn’t understand the technicalities of the P&G thing but on the other hand, the manager said that they had changed a lot of policies lately because they were losing money with all the couponers. So, my Walgreens isn’t coupon friendly either. :o(

Has anybody printed coupons on the Neosporin Essentials. When i go to site it says not available.

Walgreens did not let me buy the air freshner even with a filler. I bought the Sunday newspaper. My Walgreens is not coupon friendly.

  4. shawn says:

how do me and my friend use 2 neosporin coupons in the same transaction. Does my friend give her one coupon and then i give her one? Will the coupon still scan if we are still in the same transaction and use more than one of that coupon thanks:)

Just hand the cashier both coupons, since there are a 2 people present. The coupons will scan fine. You are meeting the restriction of the coupon which is 1 per person. HTH.

  5. I just did the Glade refill deal at my local Walgreens and it printed 2 $1 RR’s!!!!

I don’t coupon at Walgreens much. If I want to buy three Glade air fresheners and get three RR I would have to break up the transactions right? Or can I get them all at the same time?

  7. The lowest price for me on the Neosporin was $9.79. Not a great deal :(

  8. sawyersmom24 says:

Great news!! Today when I bought my Glade Expressions starter kit, I got 2/$1 RR for each one. That makes it a $2 Money maker if you have the $3.00 off coupon!!!

  9. Anna Buliga says:

a little confused. if i use the 4RR from the 1st transaction for the 2nd transaction, i wouldn’t have a 4RR from 1st transaction for my 3rd trans. you mean use 4RR from 2nd for the 3rd, correct?

  10. you cannot use a register reward and get a new one.

    • Anonymous says:

You cannot use a Register Reward on the same product and get a Register Reward but it will work on another product and produce a reward.

  11. utube says:

    i don’t see the glade coupon…i checked twice…help!!!

  12. Ally says:

Will they allow you to use 2 neosporin coupons if it states one per customer?

  13. Linda Tomson says:

I think you can use it for the other items in trans 2

  14. Evelyn says:

I don’t think you can use the 4rr from trans#1 to trans#2 because of the oral b and the crest they are both p&g products and the rr wont print for trans #2. Am I mistaken or is that correct?

Evelyn, you are right. I adjusted the scenario to three transactions so we could get both. Thanks for the catch!
