  1. Aimee says:

Bought 25 participating items and it only took $5 off. I saw on here were people got $25 off when they bought 25 items. Ended up spending $26 so it was still around a dollar a peice but not at all what I was expecting.

  2. sandra says:

I tried the huggies wipes deal @ 1.99 but kroger said it was not part of it, houston,tx

  3. The Softsoap body wash is on sale for $2.99. It is included in the Buy 5, Save $5.00 digital promotion (with eCoupon). If you mix and match 5 items, then use coupons with those items, it will lower the price. As the scenario and lowest final price is written, the body wash would be $1.99 after promo eCoupon, then subtract the $0.75/1 newspaper coupon, making the final price only $1.24. If you were to buy 5 body washes, the price for each one would be $1.99. The newspaper coupon states a limit of 4 like coupons in same transaction, so your total would be $6.95, which would mean each item would cost $1.39.

  4. Susan Carpenter says:

My ecoupon states “Limit one per transaction.” I called 1-800-KROGERS to verify if I could use it up to 5x. She said NO, only once for 5 items. I don’t know where you girls are getting that you can use it for 5 transactions. I live in Michigan so maybe it’s the rule here.

    • Susan Carpenter says:

Bought 25 participating items and it took off $20! Woo-hoo !!
Not sure why it didn’t take off $25, but I’ll take it !!
Thanks KCL !! You’ve saved me 100′s since I started following you!

  5. Susan Carpenter says:

    I’m confused. I’m only interested in Kleenex. Buy 5 for $1.99 – Save $5. So that’s basically $2 x 5 = $10. Minus the $5 ecoupon = $5. How is that free?

  6. ckue says:

If we have both coupons clip will we be able to get 30 items

  7. JD says:

It states colgate items, does that mean any colgate item? Or select ones? Please let me know! Confused!

    • It will apply to the higher priced Colgate items such as Colgate Total products. The Colgate Total toothpaste and mouthwash are included. The eCoupon will not apply to the Colgate toothpaste that is on sale in some stores for $1.00.

  8. Theresa Scott says:

Does anyone know if this works at Fred Meyer?

  9. Angela says:

I wish I had a kroger…there isnt one in mn

  10. Jmm says:

Can I use this eCoupon again this week, or is it just a one use coupon?

  11. Woohoo! The Buy 5, Save $5.00 eCoupon is available to download again! Visit Kroger.com to download the eCoupon that doesn’t expire until 10/13!

    • CB says:

the Kroger in fort worth, Texas only works for 5 items it will not let work on more than 5. :(

      • The second eCoupon that is available for this promotion will only apply to 5 items.

        • Donald King says:

If you have both Buy 5, Save $5.00 eCoupon loaded do you get to use both 25 for the first 5 for second in one transaction

          • When we shopped and listed the inclusions and product sizes last week, we were able to use the first eCoupon to purchase up to 25 items in a single transaction. The second eCoupon only allowed us to purchase 5 items.

        • littlemamiof2 says:

I emailed Kroger about the first coupon for 5 save 5 and they told me it only applied to 5 items? Did you get to use it up to 5x in one transaction? im trying to get the best deal our sale just started :)

          • Yes, the first digital coupon allowed us to purchase up to 25 items in one transaction. The second digital coupon only allowed us to purchase 5 items in one transaction.

  12. Zoboegal says:

Planning my first shopping trip to Fry’s (Krogers) and I’m a little confused. I just called them and asked how many of the same coupon they allow per transaction and they said three. So I’m unable to participate in the buy 5 save 5 deal (if I wanted to use a coupon for each item) right? Also I can’t buy 5 Colgate toothpastes in the same transaction if the limit on the coupon says four right? I don’t get how someone can get any 5 of the same item if the store limits you to 3 of the same coupon. If anyone understands this really confusing question please help!

    • Since your store has a limit of 3 like coupons, you will need to mix and match up to 25 items in this promotion and match them with coupons according to the coupon limits. For example, you could buy 3 toothpaste and 2 baby wipes and use 3 toothpaste coupons and 2 baby wipes coupons, along with the $5.00/5 digital coupon.

  13. Cassie says:

So on the Kleenex deal can you get 25 bundles or 25 total boxes? That’s a huge difference and I am still kinda confused on that.

  14. Ann says:

Is the softsoap liquid hand soap part of this deal? It’s a smaller bottle, around 10 oz. I saw it for $1 at my store and not sure they are part of the deal. Please help. TIA

  15. Billinda says:

Will you also get the $1.00 Kleenex Catalina when you buy 5 save $5?

  16. shereakt says:

I just went to my Kroger and bought 3 colgate toothpaste and 2 mouthwashes. I had 2 mnfd coupon for $2 off each mouth wash and $1 off each toothpaste. The lady at the register said it would only take 1 $2 coupon and 2 of the $1 making my total $4.36. Is that right? I thought I could use the $5 card thing with man manf coupons?

  17. ArieJ says:

I’m new to this I’m just curious as to why your not able to double the pick up the values coupon?

  18. lisa says:

Hi I’m from so cal and the only kroger affiliates here are ralphs and food4less but only food4less had these really low prices. I do have a ralphs card and I tried to buy some of the things from the kimberly-clark selection at food4less, 25 items in fact but for some reason the coupon was not ringing up. I’m thinking its because its a ralphs card maybe? I tried to make an account with food4less and it say I already have a card and it provided me with my ralphs card number… hmmm Any suggestions or advice?

    • Ann says:

      Hi Lisa,
I’m from Orange County, CA. I can confirmed it worked at Ralph’s. Maybe create another account for Ralph under a different number, link the coupon, and use it Ralph’s. I was about to buy some Kleenex, kotec, and Palmolive. Hope that help.

  19. gemjeeel says:

Can I buy 5 things and use it again tomorrow?

  20. Chris says:

I don’t see where it says you can use the $5 off 5 more than once. Am I missing it?

  21. v says:

    can i mix and match?

    • Sebastian Long says:

Yes, you can as long as long as the item qualifies for the “Pick Up the Values, Digital Coupon Event” – see list above – and you buy any combination of the items in 5 or multiples of 5.

  22. Sebastian Long says:

Here’s the $2 Catalina-type coupon I received for purchasing the Kleenex:

    • adelaide says:

My cashier refused to let me use more than 5 of the same coupon even though the day prior to that I used 11 of one coupon in the same store. The manager started waving his coupon binder in my face rudely explaining. I was irritated so I am hopefully going to have better luck at a new kroger today.

  23. Sebastian Long says:

A little warning to the wise KC people out there. I went to Ralph’s tonight, which is a Kroger company, which is also running the $5 off 5 promotion.

I decided to load up on 25 boxes of Kleenex. The first cashier wanted to only take one paper internet coupon because he said that is the company’s policy. Huh?!?! I know better, and tried to tell him, but he told me to try another cashier.

I tried another cashier and when he saw the register take $1 off per box as an “eCoupon,” he was concerned that I was using a paper coupon in addition to an internet coupon. I told him, as the KCL said, that the $5 off 5 doesn’t attach to a specific product so a paper coupon can be used in addition to the “eCoupon.” He was easier to convince although I could tell he still didn’t understand the idea.

A warning: you may encounter cashiers that don’t understand the $5 off 5 promotion doesn’t attach to a single product so you can use paper coupons also.

In the end, I got a $2 Catalina-type coupon from Kleenex at the end of the transaction. My 25 boxes of 160-count Kleenex came to $12.65 – $2 Catalina-type coupon, which comes out to $0.43/each!!!

    It broke down like this:
    $44.75 : $1.79 * 25 boxes of 160-count Kleenex
    -$25.00 : Five (5) “$5 off 5″ promotional discounts
    -$1.00 : $1/3 MQ
    -$1.00 : $1/3 MQ
    -$1.00 : $1/3 MQ
    -$1.00 : $1/3 MQ
    -$1.00 : $1/3 MQ
    -$1.00 : $1/3 MQ
    -$0.55 : $0.55/3 MQ
    -$0.55 : $0.55/3 MQ
    =$12.65
    -$2.00 : Catalina-type Ralph’s coupon from Kleenex
    =$10.65 or $0.43/each

I am very new to this (2 weeks) so every time I go to the store I get a little nervous. :) I went to two different Krogers today. The first store is where I did my 5/5 deal and all my internet coupons came off, except 1 (I later realized it was because it took an ecoupon loaded to my card first, so, of course it rejected my paper coupon. My cashier was very nice, but when he asked another lady about it, she kept insisting the 5/5 and a coupon were “double dipping”, which didn’t make sense because it took off the other 24 coupons I had. I asked the manager about it at the second Kroger and she said that the cashier that said it was “double dipping” was completely wrong and you can use the 5/5 with coupons, and you can use kroger coupons that you receive in the mail with ecoupons, but not paper coupons with ecoupons….except for the 5/5.

  24. wltrsgrl811 says:

I have a question about the $1.10/1 cp for the colgate Mouthwash… can it actually be used on the toothpaste? because the way i read it it says colgate total but seems to refer to the mouthwash only and it has a picture of mouthwash on the cp. Has anyone used it for the toothpaste?

  25. Kathy says:

I would like to remind everyone of the Kotex catalina :buy 2 get $2, buy 3 get $2.50. I purchased 2 Kotex and 3 Kleenex (2X$3 + 3X$1.79). I used $2 off 2 Kotex and $1 off 3 Kleenex. Got the $5 off 5 and a $2 catalina. HOWEVER I tried this at Fred Meyer and my ecoupon for the $5 off 5 did not come off but customer service gave me a $5 gift card.

  26. Kathy says:

I see that you are including Kroger eCoupons as part of your scenarios. Have you tried loading both the $5 off 5 items and a Kroger eCoupon for the same item to your card to see if they will both work on the same transaction?

    • Yes, we tried many different scenarios while shopping at Kroger. The special digital coupon for $5.00/5 is a promotional coupon/sale. Other paper and digital coupons will work with the items, along with the special coupon, since the special promo coupon does not attach to a single item. This is just like shopping a Mega Savings Event, except you have to download the promotional coupon to save $5.00. You can also use the special coupon up to 5 times in a single transaction. Once you use it, you won’t be able to use it again.

  27. The “limit one per purchase” coupons can be used in multiples. If the coupon states $1.00/3 and you buy 6 boxes, then you can use 2 of those coupons.

  28. Billinda says:

I just loaded this to my city market card (Kroger) and when I clicked on more details it states, “Limit of one coupon per item. Digital coupons and paper coupons may not be combined on the purchase of a single item.”

  29. Anna says:

Sad. I read that this is the last week Kroger stores are doubling, so those coupons that double to make the item free won’t actually double next week.

  30. If you buy 1 Kleenex, use the $1.00/1 coupon and mix and match 5 items included in this promo, the Kleenex will be free. The calculated final price is for 1 Kleenex. The Kleenex coupon is only good for 1 bundle and has a limit of 1 coupon per transaction, so you will pay $2.95 total for 5 bundles of Kleenex, which will equal out to $0.59 each. And yes, you can buy 25 items and use the promotional digital coupon. The eCoupon has a limit of 1 per card, but you can receive 5 rewards with it.

  31. Amy Brinlee says:

Holy lord. I dont know how you two ladies do it. I’d be ready to punch people after all the arguing you probably hear about unethical couponing when it’s not the case. You let us all know about a great promotion in which the store will accept their deal plus the coupons, and then you get accused of being unethical. You are more patient that me. I’d throw up my hands and say “don’t use it then! And find your own d@mn deals!” Thanks for all you do! I, for one, love you for it!

    • Anonymous says:

LOL. I thought the same thing! But you can definitely use the manufacturer coupons with this ecoupon loaded to your card. Kroger is pretty good when telling you if you are doing something wrong. Well at least at mine. LOL. It’s not the same as trying to use a manufacturer coupon that you’ve loaded to your card say for yogurt and then turn around and try to hand them a paper one as well. This is completely different. But you can’t please everyone. Thanks KCL for everything.

    • Thanks Amy! We spent a lot of time in the store searching for the items that are included in this promotion and testing the waters to see how this new promotion works so that we could share the deals with our readers. :)

  32. shereakt says:

And the baby wipes what is the correct date of the coupon? 9/22 hasn’t come yet

    • mkatm says:

this coupon will be available in the 9/22 newspaper. It is not available yet.

    • The wipes coupon, along with a few others we listed, will be included in the 9/22 inserts. We wanted to list the deals now so that our readers will have time to prepare their shopping trips! ;)

  33. HaleyG08 says:

I’m still new & trying to learn.. when you use the manufacturer’s coupon can you use a combination of the few you have listed when you buy 5 and it work the same way? Also, when you say you can “mix & match” to get the 5 for $5 off deal, does that apply the same as when Kroger has their 10/$10 deals and any products listed as 10/$10 can be purchased under that?

    • Melissa Dillon says:

With the $10/10 promo, you don’t have to buy 10 items. The items will ring up as $1 each when you scan your Kroger card. With the 5 for 5, you have to purchase at least 5 and in multiples of 5 to get the $1 off each. You can mix and match any of the items included in the promotion. So you’d have to buy 5 participating items, or 10, 15, 20 and so on. Typically the savings shows up after the “total” button is pressed and it will show on your receipt as “mega savings event”.

As for the manufacturer coupons, you can use 1 coupon per item. But let’s say you buy 5 Kleenex, you could use 2 internet coupons and 3 newspaper coupons.

  34. jhouston628 says:

    Can you use both?

  35. alenashenandoah says:

Can I use five of the kleenex coupons in one transaction? New to this

  36. guest says:

    ???
so I can buy 25 of the items and it will be ablied X5?

    • coupon girl says:

yes, you can scan 25 items and it will take off $25. my ralphs has the palmolive for $1.59 mega deal so after the $5 off, i got each bottle for $.59 each. bought 20 bottles and $20 came off for the pick up $5 deal.

    • Yes. You can purchase 25 items in a single transaction with the special digital coupon. However, the coupon will not be available for download again.

      • Dawn says:

Where on Kroger’s website does it say that?? I went tonight and had 25 Irish Spring soaps, which are part of the Kimberly Clark deal. It only took $5 off, not $25. I couldn’t find anywhere on the digital coupon that it should work 5 times in one transaction. I would like to know where I can get the proof to print out for when I go back in the morning and talk with the manager. I know it worked this way last month when I used the cereal deal, but it said it on the digital coupon.

        • When we tested this deal and shared our finds, the eCoupon did allow up to 25 items in one transaction. The second eCoupon that became available for download earlier in the week would only allow us to purchase 5 items.

  37. jen says:

Confused on the kleenex tissues. How can they be free if the coupon states,$1.00/1 3 pack or 3 boxes? Doesn’t that mean you buy one, three bundle package or three single boxes to get $1.00 off? So if you buy 5 @ $1.99 = $9.95.Subtract $1.00 coupon and $5.00 ecoupon that leaves $3.95.or $.79 ea. Am I looking at this wrong? Also will kroger let you combine both coupons?

    • Anonymous says:

I too would like to know about the Kleenex. But, you can stack paper coupons with this deal. I think this is similar to the Buy 5 Save $5 deals they typically have, but not they are making you clip the offer to get the deal.

      • The Kleenex is $1.99. $1.00 comes off per box with the digital coupon. Then use a printable coupon for $1.00/1 and the tissues are free. You can mix and match the items in this promo as well, so you wouldn’t have to purchase 5 Kleenex.

        • Anonymous says:

Actually the coupon says $1/3 not $1/1. It says $1 off Any (3) three boxes or (1) bundle pack so that’s only $0.33 off each box you buy not $1.00 off each.

          • Melissa Dillon says:

I think the bundle pack is $1.99.

OIC…Well if that’s the case then it will work as described but I think people were getting confused as that was not properly explained that it was in fact something that was described by the couple and not just a single box.

            • Yes, the bundle pack is on sale for $1.99.

Ok, I’m following now. Got it. Thanks so much! :-)

            • You are very welcome! :)

Bummer – i just called my 3 local Kroger stores and all of them have the SINGLE small box for $1.99… they also have the small-box 4pks for $7.99. Still not a bad deal if you need Kleenex – beats paying *gasp* full price!! =)

Wow, $1.99 for a bundle pack is great! At Ralph’s where I live (a Kroger store), Kleenex are advertised for $1.79 for select varities 50-160 ct. When I looked at the online Kroger ad for Atlanta, GA, I saw the same thing. Would you be so kind to share where you saw the bundle pack on sale for $1.99 advertised?

P.S. You KCLadies are amazing! I don’t know how you do what you do. I hope you have a staff that helps you out, otherwise I want to know your secret!!!

            • Thank you! The 3 pack bundle for $1.99 has been spotted in the Mid-Atlantic region. The bundle includes the cubes, not the rectangle tissue boxes. As always, this may be a regional product offer.

The Kleenex 3 pack bundles are $7.99 at my Kroger, nowhere near $1.99 :(

    • The Kleenex is $1.99. $1.00 comes off per box with the digital coupon. Then use a printable coupon for $1.00/1 and the tissues are free. If you buy 5 Kleenex and don’t use the coupons for them, then your total will be slightly different. You can mix and match the items in this promo as well, so you wouldn’t have to purchase 5 Kleenex.

I thought that Smith’s ecoupons couldn’t be combined with other coupons. Has their policy changed?

I was about to ask the same thing. I thought you couldn’t stack at Kroger

      • You can not stack at Kroger. However, this special promotion has a coupon for $5.00/5 specified items. The digital coupon does not attach to one particular item, so you are allowed to use manufacturer’s coupons as well.

They’re not, I’m not going to do it. I heard it goes through without beeps, but this is coupon unethical to me. This is why couponers get scrutinized and policies get more strict. I says on the ecoupon it can’t be combined.

I was denied yesterday trying to combine a manufacturer coupon with an ecoupon at krogers for yogurt.

      • You can not stack coupons at Kroger, unless specified within a promotion. This sale is not much different than the Mega Savings Event, other than you have to download the digital coupon. The digital coupon does not list a specific item and does not attach to any specific items, therefore you can use manufacturer coupons on the items listed in this promotion.
