Pear Salad with Poppy Seed Dressing

Want a simple, scrumptious salad recipe?  I give it to you with this warning: If you make it for friends, be prepared to pass out the recipe.  It is that good!

Red wine vinegar is a key ingredient so be sure to print this coupon.
$0.50/1 – Pompeian Vinegar, 16 oz or Larger – (smartsource.com)

Poppy Seed Dressing

1/3 cup red wine vinegar
3/4 tsp salt
2 Tbls grated red onion
1 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 Tbls poppy seeds
3/4 cup sugar

Blend it all up and pour over the salad below. Refrigerate after use for up to two weeks, if it lasts that long!

Pear Salad

1 head romaine lettuce, washed and chopped
4 cups mixed greens
1 orange cut up
1 ripe pear sliced
1 cup fresh raspberries or sliced strawberries, or mixture of both
1/2 cup sliced and toasted almonds
1/3 cup feta cheese

Combine all ingredients, drizzle dressing over and toss. Enjoy!

    Have you tried Kroger? The Kroger I work at carries it. It’s not a popular item here though.
