When you’re on the hunt for cheap dog food, you have to calculate the price per cup. Here’s how you do that:
- Multiply the number of pounds by four (four cups of dry kibble equals 1 lb).
- Divide the dog food’s price by whatever number you found in Step 1.
For cheap dog food, we’re trying to pay less than $0.28/cup, and you have options that are cheaper, including:

But during Black Friday 2021 (as well as in 2020), Chewy store brands like American Journey were 40% off their regular price. And on top of that, Chewy took 50% off customers’ first subscription delivery order. Here’s how it looked for us:

All you have to do is mix a can of pureed pumpkin with a banana in your food processor or blender. Then, spoon it into a dog-inspired ice cube tray and freeze.
