Here's How Amazon Shopper Panel's New Offers Program Affects Your Earnings

The Krazy Coupon Lady is an independent service supported by advertising. Most of the offers appearing on our site are from companies from which we receive compensation. We may receive a small payment from an affiliate if you click a link to purchase a product. Sometimes a post is sponsored by the maker of the product, and we receive a fee for the post. Learn More.

The Amazon Shopper Panel is a consumer research program the company says will “help brands offer better products and make ads more relevant on Amazon.” Basically, Amazon is really interested in what you’re buying from other retailers, so they’re willing to pay you for your receipts. While it's not the most profitable way to earn money on Amazon, I'm not gonna say no to some free promotional credits.

So how much can you make using the Amazon Shopper Panel? How do you get started? And how does it work? I did some serious research to answer all your burning questions and help you make the most out of the program.

What is the Amazon Shopper Panel?

So essentially, Amazon wants to improve their ads and they need information to do that. Enter Amazon Shopper Panel. It's an invite-only program where Amazon users can submit receipts from other retailers, answer surveys, and opt into voluntary ad data collection. If you do get an invite, you may be requested to participate in just one aspect of the program, or all aspects. It all depends on what info Amazon needs at that time. And if you find that you only want to participate in receipts, but not ad sharing, you can control what you opt into.

It might sound like a bit of work, but at least you'll get pain in Amazon promo credits.

How do you join the Amazon Shopper Panel?

The Amazon Shopper Panel is invite-only. So if you’re one of the lucky ones, you would receive an official Amazon research panel invitation via email.

However, if you didn’t get the official invite, you can sign up for the waitlist by downloading the Amazon Shopper Panel app and logging in with your Amazon account info. When spots open up, Amazon will start inviting people from the waitlist.

If you want to leave the Amazon Panel and give up earning an easy ten bucks every month, just stop using the app. Learn more at Panel.Amazon.com.

What does an Amazon Shopper have to do to make money?

1. Submit receipts from other big box, grocery stores, and others to earn $10/month.

If you’re accepted into the Amazon Shopper Panel program, every calendar month you’ll earn 1 reward for every receipt you submit for purchases you’ve made within 30 days. You can earn up to $10 a month. You can submit receipts by taking photos of them using the Amazon Shopper Panel app (iOS/Android) or by forwarding email receipts to receipts@panel.amazon.com.

Valid receipts include purchases from big box, grocery, dollar and clothing stores.

Receipts from outside the U.S. or from Amazon companies and affiliates aren’t eligible.

If you submit 10 qualifying receipts, Amazon will credit your account with $10 each month — which you can apply to your next Amazon order, your Prime membership, or save up for a purchase down the road. That’s $120/year worth of free credits!

2. Enable ‘ad verification’ to get another $2/month from Amazon.

Android and iOS users can opt in to ad sharing to get an extra $2 per month. What does that mean? You’re letting Amazon basically track the ads you view on a regular basis on your mobile device.

To set this up, here’s what you do:

  • Tap the Ads section of the app in the lower toolbar

  • Toggle “Enable Ad Verification”

  • Follow the remaining in-app step-by-step directions

3. Answer Amazon surveys to earn additional Amazon credits.

Each month, Amazon will give you the opportunity to answer questions about various brands, products, or ads. In return, you can earn additional Amazon credits.

Surveys are totally optional, and as a participant, you can see how much each survey earns you. They’re typically one to three questions long and will earn you between $0.25 and $1 each — in addition to your $10 receipt credits.

4. Offers are currently in beta, but promise $1 - $3 per receipt.

Amazon Shopper Panel Offers

A new feature called Offers is in beta, but there's a good chance it'll officially roll out. It won't replace any of the other money-making opportunities though so think of it as an added bonus.

If you're selected for the program, you'll receive "offers" which are essentially requests for receipts that include specific brands, products, or item categories. Payout is typically between $1 - $3 per offer.

Just like with other receipt submission opportunities, the receipts must be physical print outs from stores other than Amazon. However, with Offers you can submit more than 10 receipts per month. Essentially, your earnings are only limited by the amount of offers you receive.

Is the Amazon Shopper Panel legit?

Yep! The program is owned and operated by Amazon. I haven't seen any counterfeit apps but it never hurts to practice good internet safety.

If you're looking to download the app, just be sure to only download from trusted app stores like Google Play, the Amazon Appstore, or the Apple App store. And doublecheck that the developer is credited as Amazon Mobile, LLC on Google Play or AMZN Mobile LLC on the Apple App store.

How do I get more surveys on the Amazon Shopper panel?

More surveys means more earnings so naturally you'll want to get as many as possible. However, you can't really control how many surveys you get. It once again just depends on what information Amazon needs at the time.

Do competitors have similar programs?

Paying users to take surveys or share receipts is hardly a new concept. And luckily, at KCL we love easy side hustles to make a little extra cash. Here are a few programs that will pay you for taking surveys:
