During National Teacher Appreciation Week — taking place May 6-10, 2024 — restaurants and stores celebrate the hard work and dedication of teachers by showering them with discounts, deals, and freebies.
Educators can expect a variety of discounts during Teacher Appreciation Week, including things like free coffee, free desserts, gift card offers, and exclusive discounts. There are also teacher-only giveaways and sweepstakes happening. In every case, teachers have to present valid school ID.

Applebee’s
Teachers (with valid ID) who dine-in at Applebee’s during National Teacher’s Appreciation Week will receive a free dessert with any purchase. Plus, you'll get a voucher for a BOGO free entree for a future order. You can redeem the voucher from May 13 through June 9, 2024.
Buffalo Wild Wings
Buffalo Wild Wings is giving a shoutout to teachers with a 20% discount from May 6-12, 2024. Offer is valid for dine-in, call-in, and walk-in orders only. You must show valid ID.
Costco
Sign up for a Costco membership and receive a Shop Card. New Executive members will receive a $40 Shop Card, while Gold Star members will get a $20 Shop Card.
Dickey’s BBQ Pit
This year, Dickey's BBQ Pit is again offering nurses (with valid employment ID) a free Big Yellow Cup with a $10+ purchase during Teacher Appreciation Week.
Dunkin’
Dunkin’ Rewards members can enjoy a $3 medium Dunkin' Refresher every day, including during Teacher Appreciation Week. You can use the offer once a day.
Eyemart Express
Any school employee (including educators, nurses, custodial staff, food service, even bus drivers) at an accredited public or private school PK -12, college, or university can get a 20% discount (in store only) at Eyemart Express with proper school ID. Offer is valid year-round.

Blaze Pizza will most likely have a deal on gift cards, such as a $5 bonus gift card when you purchase $25 worth of gift cards during Teacher Appreciation Week.
Einstein Bros Bagels
Look for Einstein Bros Bagels to offer everyone, including non-teachers, a discount their e-gift cards for Teacher Appreciation Week.
Firehouse Subs

Watch for Potbelly to have a dine-in freebie deal, such as a free regular-sized soft drink or cookie with an entree purchase, for Teacher Appreciation Week.
Subway
We predict Subway will give teachers the opportunity to win one of 10,000 free Subway Series sandwiches through their Subway Serves program.

Each year during Teacher Appreciation Week, Target offers educators a store discount. We expect Target will again offer the discount in 2024. Here's how it has worked in the past: Once verified as a teacher through the Target app, you received a notification on Sunday night (beginning of Teacher Appreciation Week) with a 10% off disount on one in-store or online purchase.

Look for The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf to offer educators a discount on large drinks during this year's Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6 - 10, 2024.

We predict Whataburger will give teachers a freebie with no purchase necessary between 5 a.m. to 9 a.m., each day during Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6 – 10, 2024.

Educators can save 5% off at Lenovo.com every day.
Samsung
Samsung gives educators up to 15% off PCs and tablets, and up to 7.5% of mobile phones, accessories, and smart home devices. They also offer up to 12.1% off appliances and up to 25% off vacuums and home appliance accessories. Verify eligibility through ID.me.
Willow
Willow offers teachers that are also moms a 10% discount on a Willow Breast Pump (not valid on accessories). Verification through SheerID is required for discount.
Teacher Appreciation Week happens once a year, recognizing teachers with special deals and freebies.
National Teacher Appreciation Week began in 1984 when people successfully lobbied Congress to officially set aside the entire first full week (Monday-Friday) in May to say thank you to teachers for their hard work. It wraps around National Teacher Appreciation Day, which is always the Tuesday of the first full week of May.
Restaurants, stores, and other businesses observe National Teacher Appreciation Week with discounts, specials, and freebies available only to educators.
The next Teacher Appreciation Week will start Monday, May 6, 2024.
Teacher Appreciation Week always starts the first Monday in May, running through Friday of that week. In 2024, that’s Monday, May 6, through Friday, May 10.
