Super Mario Brothers superfans and Oreo enthusiasts can now bring the Mushroom Kingdom to life in snack form. Just head to Amazon, Walmart and Target stores for these limited-edition Oreo x Super Mario cookies. Preorders started on June 28 before they hit store shelves.
The chocolate sandwich cookies feature 16 cookie designs inspired by Super Mario characters, including Mario, Luigi, Goomba, and Bowser Jr. Not only are fans getting another delicious cookie, but Oreo wants the public’s help to save Princess Peach from the Bowser’s attempt to take over her castle. The interactive, social media challenge game asks the public to collect cookies to save the kingdom. Then, post your video by tagging them in your social media posts.
Oreo’s Nintendo partnership comes just months after the popularity of the Super Mario Brothers movie, so it’s a no-brainer to combine America’s favorite cookie and most popular video game characters. In July, the cookie maker also released the Cotton Candy Flavored Oreos after nearly a decade.

Online pre-orders began on June 28 before hitting stores on July 10.
Preorders started on June 28 for the limited edition Oreo X Super Mario cookies at Oreo.com/SuperMario. On July 10, these special cookies hit store shelves nationwide.
Each Oreo x Super Mario package is 12.2 ounces and comes in the classic chocolate and vanilla flavor.
The 12.2-ounce resealable pack has an easy-pull tab ensuring that the cookies stay fresh. They come in the classic chocolate wafers with the cream filling. They’d make an impressive addition to Super Mario-themed birthday parties.
There’s a limit of five packs per order.
Since these Oreo x Super Mario cookies are limited edition, the company is only allowing five packs per order. Be sure to order these collectible cookies online before they disappear.
The cookies are embossed with 16 different Super Mario designs.
As if just eating an Oreo wasn’t satisfying enough, the company is randomly filled each package with cookies embossed with iconic characters. Look for these 16 characters:

In July, Oreo had an online game where you could try to defeat Bowser by completing a mission and posting your findings on social media.
Throughout the month of July you could play a game by collecting your Super Mario Oreo cookies to help defeat Bowser and save Princess Peach. You were had to challenge yourself by stacking as many hero-embossed Oreos as possible on a Bowser cookie, perched on the rim of a glass of milk. Once Bowser’s cookie plunged into the milk, he was defeated. If you shared your cookie tower video on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or TikTok using the hashtag #SuperMarioOREO you could have received a surprise.

While you can longer try and defeat Bowser, you can enter the Oreo Super Mario Sweepstakes for a chance to win a limited-edition Princess Peach x Oreo ID pack. You can enter one time per day, per email address until the drawing ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on August 23, 2023. On or about August 24, Oreo will randomly draw 5,000 winners and will notify you by email if you’re one of them.
