Make This Breyers Snowman Treat (Plus, Enter to Win $1500 in Prizes)

I’m always on the lookout for holiday recipes I can make with my kids that won’t mess up my kitchen — or my grocery budget. Since 48 oz. tubs of Breyers are on sale for just $0.99 at Kroger stores through Dec. 3, I found an easy and cheap DIY Ice Cream Snowman recipe that my family and I can make for less than $5. Plus, Breyers is hosting a sweepstakes where you can enter to win over $1500 in prizes by sharing a photo on Instagram.

Here’s the scoop on how to save 83% on Breyers, how to make your own ice cream snowmen, and how to enter the #BreyersSnowmanSweepstakes.

1. Get a 48-oz carton of Breyers at Kroger stores for just $0.99 when you stack a digital coupon and Fetch Rewards offer.

1. Sign up for a Kroger Plus Shopper's Card if you don't already have one.

2. Visit Kroger.com or download the store app to clip the Breyers digital coupon.

3. Buy one carton of Breyers ice cream (any vanilla flavor will work best for this recipe!)

4. Scan your Shopper's Card at the register (or enter the phone number associated with your account), and pay just $2.99 per tub after the coupon is automatically applied. Note that the coupon has a limit of one.

5. Download the Fetch Rewards app on your smartphone.

6. Submit a photo of your receipt to Fetch, and you'll receive 2,000 points back (which equals $2) upon approval.

2. Make your own Breyers Ice Cream Snowmen with this simple (and no-mess) recipe:

While you may not already have Breyers® ice cream and flaked coconut at home, you probably have the other food items you need to bring your snowmen to life in your kitchen cabinet. (Think pretzel sticks for the arms or mini chocolate chips for the buttons.) I love that this recipe is not only really simple, but thanks to the waxed paper, it leaves no mess. Not to mention meltdowns over broken cookies or collapsed gingerbread walls. It's a fun and affordable family activity that we can all do together.

Ingredients:

• 2 cups of Breyers® Ice Cream

• 2 cups of Kroger® Sweetened Flaked Coconut

• Suggested Snowman Decorations

  • Buttons, eyes, nose, and mouth – M&Ms Minis or Kroger® Semi-Sweet Mini Chocolate Morsels

  • Arms – Kroger® Pretzel Sticks or Twizzlers Licorice

  • Hat – Oreo Cookie with a Reese’s Miniature Cup or Sliced Kiwi and Strawberry

Directions:

1. Line a baking pan with wax paper.

2. Scoop Breyers® ice cream and quickly roll into 4 medium and 8 small ice cream balls, then roll in coconut flakes. Reserve any remaining coconut. Arrange ice cream balls on wax-paper-lined baking pan. 

3. Cover and freeze for 20 minutes.

4. Stack 1 medium and 2 small Ice Cream balls on each dessert plate so you have 4 snowmen.

5. Add your toppings to make each one come to life! Then, evenly sprinkle with remaining coconut "snow." Serve immediately.
