And that’s where the Bath & Body Works Body Care Day sale comes into play, where all body care items have been marked down to $4.95 with a promo code for the past two years. In 2023, the sale went live on Friday, Dec. 8, for Bath & Body Works Rewards members, both in-store and online the entire day. Then the sale continued for everyone on Saturday, Dec. 9 through Sunday, Dec. 10. Yep, there were three days of Body Care Day in 2023.
B&BW is pretty consistent with the timing of their annual sales. So based on historical data, this is always one of the last big B&BW sales before the end of the year. After the body care event will be the Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale.
I guess you can say we’re pretty Krazy over here about Bath & Body Works. We’ve been tracking their sales for years and we’re sharing all that information we’ve learned with you.

Body Care Day is a once-a-year, weekend event where all body care products cost $4.95.
For one weekend in December, Bath & Body Works discounts all of their body care products — lotions, soaps, fragrances, body scrubs, etc. — to $4.95. The sale happens in stores and online.
KCL predicts the next Bath & Body Works Body Care Day will begin Friday, Dec. 13, 2024.
Bath & Body Works hasn’t officially announced the next date for their Body Care Day event, but based on what they've done in recent years, we here at KCL predict that it’ll take place between Friday, Dec. 13, and Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024.
How do we make our prediction?
In past years, the Body Care “Day” event has taken place over a weekend, starting on the second Friday in December (a week after Candle Day). In 2024, the second Friday is Dec. 13.
1. Bath & Body Works Body Care Day 2023 ran from Dec. 8 – Dec. 10, and all items were $4.95.
Bath & Body Works Body Care Day sale began Friday, Dec. 8 for Rewards members only. The sale typically only lasts two days, with a day of early access for Rewards members and then a day for everyone. But in 2023, the event went for three days from Dec. 8 – 10. Again important to note: The sale happens both in stores and online.
Body Care Day always takes place in December (the week after Candle Day), which makes it the absolute perfect time to stock up on stocking stuffers and gifts for neighbors, your mother-in-law, or your white elephant exchange.
2. Bath & Body Works Rewards Program members got to shop the Body Care Day sale a day early.
Bath & Body Works Rewards program members got early access to Body Care Day for the full day on Dec. 8, 2023 in stores and online. This is even better than 2022, when members could shop from 8 p.m. to midnight ET (online only) the evening before the sale opened to everyone else.
New Bath & Body Works Rewards members get a $10 off $30 Bath & Body Works coupon when they join. The coupon is delivered within 72 hours, and it expires 30 days after you receive it. In any given year, make sure you sign up for My Bath & Body Rewards at least three days before the Body Care Day will happen to ensure you get the coupon in time for the sale.
3. Over 500 products are available during Body Care Day.
Bath & Body Works has over 500 products available for Body Care Day, with more than 140 fragrance options! Products to choose from include aromatherapy items, men’s products, shower gels, mini perfumes, mini cologne, body lotions, bath soap, bubble baths, body scrubs, body mists, bar soaps, and more. Unfortunately, the sale doesn’t include perfumes or men’s cologne.
Just like they did for Candle Day, Bath & Body Works releases some new fragrances just for Body Care Day.
4. Body Care items were $4.95 with a promo code in both 2022 and 2023.
The first year that Bath & Body Works hosted Body Care Day was back in 2018. Back then the price was $2.95 for body lotion only (that was literally the only item included in the sale). In 2019 Bath & Body Works included their full line of body care products in the event and increased the price to $4.95. In 2020, the price was hiked up — just like Candle Day — to $5.95. But in 2021, they dropped the price down to $5.50.
The price for body care items in 2023 was $4.95 with the promo code EVERYTHING, the same price as it was in 2022.
5. How do Body Care Day prices compare to the rest of the year?
Throughout the year, Bath & Body Works offers sales on their body care products. Other than during the Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual sale, you can expect to see body care prices drop as low as $5.50 other times of the year. But during the Body Care Day sale in 2022, the price dropped even lower, to $4.95.
The best products to buy during the Body Care Sale (and the ones that typically sell out the fastest) are body scrubs and body butter. These two products have a higher regular price point than other body care products, making the savings go even further!
TIP: Skip buying the bar soap, as its sale price is right around the $4.95 offered for Body Care Day.
6. Body Care Day carries a limit of 24 products per shopper.
Now hear me out on this one. I know that limits may generally seem bad, but I’m gonna argue the opposite is true in this case.
First, the limit makes sure nobody clears the store out before you get there. But second, and I think most importantly, how else would we ever know how many body care items to get? Would we stop ourselves at two dozen? Three? Would we bring a second wagon?
Without a limit, you’d find me holding up the checkout line while running back to grab just one more.
Twenty-four body care items per person. It’s probably enough, no? If you really must have more, there’s no reason you couldn’t make two trips. Nothing in the brief fine print would preclude you from doing so.
7. What about coupons on Body Care Day?
Bath & Body Works coupons don’t have any blackout dates, so if you’ve got a valid coupon, you can use it on Body Care Day as long as you’re shopping in store.
Mail coupons that overlap with Body Care Day do exist. And the Bath & Body Works Rewards program is available in all areas, so you’ll want to sign up so you get your welcome coupon for $10 off a $30 purchase. The coupon code is valid in store and online. All new Rewards members will receive this offer, and details will be in your Wallet within 72 hours of joining.
Because the coupon expires 30 days from when you sign up, don’t take the steps to get this coupon until the week before the next anticipated Body Care Day date. If you already have an account, sign up your partner, your mom, the mail carrier, or anyone willing to share that code with you once they receive it.
9. Shop in store during Body Care Day, not online.
Body Care Day online requires you to use a digital coupon code to get the discounted price. Because you can only use one code per online order, stacking coupons online on Body Care Day doesn’t work.
And that’s not the only reason I recommend you shop in store. It’s also because of the issues with Bath & Body Works’ free shipping — or lack thereof. The new store pickup option was paused on Candle Day until the third and final day of the sale. We expect the same for Body Care Day — making it nearly impossible to avoid the $6.99 standard shipping fee on every Bath & Body Works online order, no matter how big.
