The Home Depot 4th of July Sale is one of the best Home Depot sales for appliances. But in 2024, you’ll want to leave room in your cart for other Home Depot deals, too.

KCL experts expect the Home Depot 4th of July Sale to start on Thursday, June 27, 2024. Typically, their 4th of July deals on mulch, soil, and grills aren’t as good as those earlier in the year. So this year, we’re focusing on deals for major appliances, flowers, and plants at Home Depot. We tend to see some of the best hanging flower basket sales of the year during the 4th of July event — even better than Memorial Day!

But deals on patio furniture are not to be ignored. You can plan on getting up to 60% off outdoor dining sets, patio umbrellas and more at Home Depot. This is when Home Depot starts to offload patio items ahead of the cooler seasons.

Home Depot’s 4th of July Sale is a two-week event with some of the year’s best prices on appliances.

For the two weeks surrounding Independence Day, Home Depot’s 4th of July Sale offers some of the best appliance deals of the year — plus discounts on flowers, plants, and other outdoor items.

KCL predicts the next Home Depot 4th of July Sale will start on Thursday, June 27, 2024.

We’re still waiting for Home Depot to officially announce the date for their 4th of July Sale. But based on their normal sale schedule and what we’ve seen in the past, KCL predicts the sale will happen from Thursday, June 27, through Wednesday, July 10, 2024.

Home Depot’s sales almost always start on a Thursday and end on a Wednesday. In 2023, the 4th of July Sale started a week earlier than what we’re predicting this year. But since the 4th of July falls on a Thursday in 2024, we think they’ll start the sale a week later and run it for a week longer — into the week after Independence Day.

How do we make our prediction?

The Home Depot 4th of July Sale is usually a two-week sale that historically starts on the last (or second to last) Thursday in June. The event always runs through the 4th of July holiday and ends the Wednesday after.

Home Depot 4th of July Sale 2024: Best Deals to Expect

Major Appliances: Up to $1,200 off

For the Home Depot 4th of July Sale 2024, look out for best-of-year prices on Samsung, LG, and GE appliances, including dishwashers, microwaves, refrigerators, and laundry pairs.

During last year’s event, some appliances had even lower prices than what we saw for Home Depot Memorial Day and Labor Day sales in 2023. The Samsung French 4-Door Refrigerator was $1,200 off the regular price, on sale for $1,998 (reg. $3,199).

On top of that, Home Depot offered instant savings of up to $1,000 with buy more, save more deals. You’d save $100 if you bought two appliances, $200 if you bought three appliances, and so on. Plus, you got 12-month financing on appliances of $299 or more — no Home Depot Credit Card required.

Hanging Flower Baskets: $7.50 each

The Home Depot 4th of July Sale is when we see one of the best deals on hanging flower baskets all year. We typically see a “2 for $15” deal on 1.8-gallon hanging flower baskets — an even better deal than the “2 for $16” offer during earlier Home Depot sales this year. You’ll pay $7.50 per hanging flower basket versus the $12.98 regular price.

Bonnie Veggie and Herb Plants: 2 for $10

The Home Depot 4th of July Sale offers 2.32-quart Bonnie plants for $5 each. At first glance, I thought this deal wasn’t as good as the 3 for $12 deal Home Depot has on Bonnie veggie and herb plants in the spring. But the spring deal was on 19.3-ounce Bonnie plants.

So you’ll get much bigger plants for just $1 more during the 4th of July event.
