Multiple times a year Ulta holds three-week sales “events” that rotate out 50% off daily deals on makeup, skincare, hair care, and body care, like their Semi-Annual Sale. But then they’ll also pop in with sales that stay steady throughout, like the Ulta Jumbo Love sale which slashes prices on liter-size shampoo and conditioner.
There are so many Ulta sales it can actually be hard to keep up, which is why we’re providing you with an easy, breezy calendar guide to their events below. And while you typically can’t use Ulta coupons on their daily beauty steals, you can still rack up Ulta Beauty Rewards points when you shop, no matter what.

Ulta Jumbo Love Event
What’s interesting about the Jumbo Love sale is that it bridges one year to the next, typically starting on Christmas Day and closing out on Jan. 20 annually. Then we usually see the same event again over the summer. During this sale, liter-sized shampoo and conditioner from top brands (think Redken, Living Proof, Bumble and Bumble) are marked down up to 45% off.
Sale dates: Dec. 25, 2023 - Jan. 20, 2024; June 30 - July 20, 2024 (predicted)
Savings: Yes, you will find some liter-size shampoo and conditioner for 45% off during the Ulta Jumbo Love sale, but you are more likely to see the sale hover around the 30% off range for most brands. For example, Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Shampoo (reg. $50) was marked at $34.99 during the most recent event.
Ulta Love Your Skin Sale
If there has ever been a time to try out new skincare products, it’s during the Ulta Love Your Skin Sale. It runs in tandem with the winter Jumbo Love sale, but instead of keeping the same products on sale throughout, Ulta rotates “Beauty Steals” daily. The only thing that’s constant is these deals are always 50% off and products are skin or body care focused.
Sale dates: Dec. 31, 2023 - Jan. 20, 2024
Savings: You’ll get 50% off select skincare products each and every day during this sale. One day might be serums from Estee Lauder, Clinique, and Sunday Riley. The next could be Osea body lotion, Tula facial cleanser, and Elemis moisturizer. They mix it up but the brands featured are big names and they're half-off.
KCL Tip: If your order doesn't hit Ulta's $35 free shipping threshold, see if the item is available to pick up in-store, which is free. And you have five days to pick the order up from the date of purchase.
Ulta Semi-Annual Beauty Event (formerly Ulta 21 Days of Beauty)
This is really the piece de resistance of the Ulta sale schedule. The Ulta Semi-Annual Beauty Event happens twice a year and features daily rotating 50% off deals across all of the beauty categories they carry: makeup, skin, hair, nails, and body care. You’ll see it in March and then again at the end of August/early September.
Sale dates: March 8 - 28, 2024, Sept. 1 - 21, 2024 (predicted)
Savings: Just like the Love Your Skin sale, the Semi-Annual Beauty Event features 50% off deals that switch out every day. But instead of focusing on just skincare, the Semi-Annual sale has deals on all different types of beauty products. You’ll typically see brands like Tarte, Urban Decay, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Lancome, and Clarins featured during this particular sale. During the first Semi-Annual sale of 2024, Ulta also offered 2 for $25 haircare deals.

Ulta Spring Haul
New for 2024, Ulta introduced their Ulta Spring Haul event, likely in an attempt to compete with Sephora's Spring Sale. The deals don't rotate out like they often do in other Ulta sales. Instead, they remain consistent for the duration of the event.
Sale dates: April 9 - 20
Savings: You'll find savings up to 50% off, but in reality most of the discounts lie in the 25 - 30% range. For example, you'll see the entire Tree Hut and Truly lines are 25% off during this sale. But then it will be "up to" 30% off across nail care. For the record, most OPI products hit that 30% off mark. There are also promos like B2G1 Free NYX Professional Makeup, which equates to about a 30% discount if you purchase items that are close to the same price.
Ulta Gorgeous Hair Event
You’ll see the Ulta Gorgeous Hair Event appear on the Ulta sale calendar twice each year: once in May and again in October. Unlike the Jumbo Love sale, which is all about liter-size haircare, the Gorgeous Hair Event is about hair care in all different forms and sizes. From shampoo to styling products to hot tools and even eyelash care (hey, they’re hairs, too), these deals swap out daily and are 50% off.
Sale dates: May 12, 2024 - June 2, 2024 (predicted), Oct. 6 - 26, 2024 (predicted)
Savings: By now you’re noticing a running theme — lots of 50% off rotating daily deals on the Ulta sale schedule. The same goes for the Gorgeous Hair Event. The deals are all half-off and disappear after 24 hours, replaced by new 50% off deals. Ulta features brands like Living Proof, Redken, Drybar, LolaVie, and more.
KCL Tip: You can use Ulta Beauty Rewards to purchase daily 50% off Beauty Steals, but you cannot use Ulta store coupons on these deals.
Ulta 72-Hour Flash Sale (formerly the Forever Fabulous Sale)
Every year in early August Ulta busts out a “blink-and-you’ll-miss-it” three-day sale. Once called the Forever Fabulous Sale, it morphed into the Ulta 72-Hour Flash Sale in 2023. Unlike the other sales, which are both online and in-store, this one is only available at Ulta.com and in the Ulta app.
Sale dates: Aug. 6 - 8, 2024 (predicted)
Savings: The deals stay the same for the entirety of the Ulta 72-Hour Flash Sale. You’ll find up to 30% off entire brand collections, like IT Cosmetics, Philosophy, Kiss, and more. Additionally, Ulta offered a $10 off $40 coupon during the last 72-Hour sale is you purchased online but picked up in-store.
Ulta Fall Haul
In 2024, Ulta’s Fall Haul was a new addition to the Ulta sale calendar. It was a quickie, running just nine days, with consistent deals throughout. This sale acts as a precursor to the second Ulta Gorgeous Hair event of the year. It’s a little something to fill in the gap between that sale and the Semi-Annual Beauty Event.
Sale dates: Sept. 27, 2024 - Oct. 5, 2024 (predicted)
Savings: You can expect brand-wide deals, like 25% off the entire Tree Hut line, B2G1 Free NYX Makeup, 20% off CeraVe, 30% off the Ulta Beauty Collection, and 40% off IT Cosmetics Minis.
Ulta Black Friday Sale
The Ulta Black Friday Sale always starts off online the night before it heads in-store, and it always kicks off the Saturday evening before Black Friday. If there’s one other must-know fact about this sale, it's that you’ll have to join an online queue on the first night just to shop it (yeah, that’s how popular it is). Fortunately the queue moves pretty quickly, like less than 15 minutes, and then it’s game on for scouring the deals.
Dates: Nov. 23 - 30, 2024 (predicted)
Savings: During their Black Friday sale, practically all of Ulta is on sale in one way, shape, or form. There’s savings of up to 80% across all beauty categories, although most markdowns stay in the 40 - 60% range. You can always find Morphe palettes at 40% off during this sale, as well as 50% off a fragrance sampler. Then there’s the $12 mascaras from prestige brands, 50% off select haircare, and free gifts with purchase to sweeten the deals.
