Fall is the best time of the year to vacation on a budget — mostly because schools start back up. Everyone is busy, which means fewer crowds and lower prices.
Here’s a list of all the best cheap fall vacations in the United States to check out this year.
1. Disney World and Disneyland
Go to Disney World and Disneyland in September when most kids are back in school to avoid the crowds and the higher prices. Not only will you be saving money, but you’ll also be avoiding the hot weather.
If you want to experience Disneyland or Disney World when it’s decorated for Halloween, go Monday through Thursday in October. Disneyland will have select days with an Oogie Boogie Bash Disney Party and Halloween Horror Nights. Disney World will be celebrating with Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party starting in September and running through the end of October.
Also, Disney World is currently offering Mid-Day Magic discount tickets that can save you up to 27% this fall! Tickets are available for purchase until December 15th, 2019.

2. National parks
Going out into nature is one of the best fall vacations you can take and super budget-friendly if you go camping. Some of the best parks to check out that’ll still have great camping weather in the fall are:

- Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennesee and North Carolina

Get tickets for the weekdays in September and October for Six Flags when prices are low and crowds aren’t so crazy. You can also save up to $20.00 if you choose to go during the week.
Tickets are as low as $46.99 in September and October. In the summer, the lowest price was $54.99.

4. Hilton Head, South Carolina

5. Boston, Massachusetts

One of the best free spots is The Gathering Place, made up of 70 acres of land. The Gathering Place has tons of family-friendly activities including play structures, slides, pirate ships, concerts and rental boats.
If you somehow run out of things to do at the park, check out the Gilcrease Museum, full of Western American art. Learn all about America’s prehistory, settlement and expansion. Adult tickets are just $8.00 and anyone under 18 is free!
7. Disney cruises

8. Seattle, Washington

9. Sacramento, California
