just thought i’d give you a heads up. the manager at my walgreens told me yesterday that walgreens is changing their policy so that you cannot use a rr and get a rr back. meaning that if you use a rr a part of the payment on an item that has a rr, the printer will not give you the new rr. doesn’t matter if its a different item or not. have you heard this?

Rumors like this circulate all the time. I have never been able to confirm with corporate that anything like this is happening.

Currently, under most circumstances when you buy an item and receive a RR, you can not turn around and buy the same item and still receive a new RR

But you can, for example, buy Dove, get a RR and use it to buy Huggies and you will still get an RR for the Huggies.

If this policy changes, we will obviously let our readers know!

        Hope this helps! :)

As a manager at Wag the policy is that you can not use a RR that says Store coupon for example Walgreen bucks to get product that triggers RR from Manufacture coupons. It is called an anti-looping policy. It is still kinda new, and i have never run into it.

As far as I know you can use RR that are Manufactures coupons to get more RR that are manufacture.

        Hope this clarifies.

So if I have RRs from a previous week, and I use it on my Huggies this week, it will NOT give me a $3 RR?? I’m new to this and confused! Thanks for your help!

        Blizzard,

You WILL ALWAYS get a new RR when you use a RR from a different product to pay for a new product.

Usually if you paid for Huggies with the Huggies RR you would NOT get a new RR, but this week with the Huggies it’s being reported that you will still get a new RR if you use the Huggies RR to pay.

        Hope this makes sense.

The coupon in the albertsons ad is for a big box of diapers not for the jumbo pack. If everyone tries to “cheat” the system then there won’t be deals like this in the future.

I live in WA and I had a manager tell me that they are going to change there policy soon too, but that was 6 months ago and it has yet to change. IF it does sad news, but right now it is fine to do so. That is the excuse they gave me when my RR didn’t print. I then asked them to re-ring and it then did print. (this is on a completely different deal) So if yours isn’t printing you can kindly ask them to redo the transaction.

I was able to use them in So. AZ! I don’t buy much at Walgreens, so I bought the Huggies & Pull Ups , using $2/1 coupon, after the initial transaction of $6.99 I added a $.50 jar of baby food to each transaction (so I could use the RRs) and the baby food & huggies together were $4.49ea transaction! I still wishing I had those Children’s Activity Booklets :D

I tried to roll mine and split my like 5 diaper purchases into seperate, but it kept beeping, and they told me they couldn’t push it through because the huggies RR is from Kimberly clark and I couldn’t use 2 coupons for one item?(i was trying to use a $2/1 Huggies & my $3 RR) so I just ended up using my huggies coupons and will keep all my RR for another transaction =(

        Carrie says:
        February 8, 2010 at 9:19 pm

It would beep because you can’t use 2 coupons on 1 item only and not have a filler item. Their policy is that you can’t use more coupons than items you are purchasing. Hope that helps!

        Daleene says:

Bonita, you may have needed to add a filler item. The best filler items are the caramels 3/$.99. Buy one. At Walgreens you need as many items as coupons in most cases.
I was at the 10 Mile Walgreens yesterday and I had 3 transactions, not knowing about the rolling RR until I decided to buy 1 more pack of diapers before I left to use my $3 RR on. I didn’t care if I was going to get another RR. Well guess what? I did. The young gentleman handed me it and I said Wow, I didn’t think that I would get another one and he said “It must be your lucky day.”

I did 3 transactions, all huggies and a small pack of nail files….and rolled my RR’s in Central Florida! I don’t go to Walgreens much and forgot about the filler item when paying with a RR and a coup.

Haha…I was so happy that I figured out why the register was beeping that I didn’t even realize I was Rolling RR’s for identical items until I saw the post on KCL!

Yay!!! It worked at my store on Eagle and Chinden (Boise.) And they are well-stocked. AND they currently have quite a few children’s activity books back by the pharmacy (although some have the coupons ripped out–for shame!) AND they have some of the coupons up at the register anyway that they’ll just scan for you! I used valentines day candy for my filler items–things I probably would have bought anyway for my family.

While i was at walgreens last night buying Huggies i also bought the Venus razor and got a free Olay body wash, the coupon has a picture of a little size cheap body wash but it doesn’t specify any size, or any type, so i was able to pay i think $2 for the razor (matching coupons) and then bought a $9 bottle of olay body wash. The cashier read the coupon over and over again to try to not give me the deal, but it doesn’t specify so i got 2 for free! GREAT DEAL!

I went to the 10th Avenue Walgreens in Caldwell tonight and the Huggies RR was most certainly rolling. I tested it on the first package from a previous purchase, then continued down the line for the other 3 packages, using the RR each time and getting a new one after. SWEET deal!
