I am trying to figure this out. Walgreens won’t let me use a coupon with their walgreens reward coupon on one product. They say it’s because the rewards are manufacturer coupons. now if the rewards are manufacturer coupons does that mean I can use it anywhere? and if not then I say it’s a walgreens coupon that can be stacked. Help….confused and irritated at walgreens. I usually avoid walgreens because I always run into some problem with them. Grrrr…..

With Walgreens, you need to add some smaller filler item to used RRs and mfg. coupons. The number of coupons can not be more than the number of items. KCL usually list the cheapest items for each week for fillers or you can get something else you need/want but don’t have a coupon for. The Walgreens coupons in their ad or in the monthy book don’t count in the number. I will often use the discounted school supplies or cheese sticks as fillers. A lot of people use a cheap taffy or caramel candy as a filler.

Just tried this in Des Moines, WA. The price came up but the registered showed they have deleted the coupon from their system and can not accept it so I put it back. Our Walgreen’s has the new registers and they are super picky.

This deal is not valid as this sale is not going on. I checked two different the sale isn’t there. It’s not even posted in the flyer so where are you getting this info? I wish it were true as I love herbal essence.

This is a great deal! I am stocked up already but I might have to get more, that is if my wags has them in stock. Last week, I went into wags and got 2 dixie napkins, bogo w/ 2 .55c/1. I had 4 coupons and there were only 2 only the shelf. I went in every morning @ 6:30am and they never restocked them. Same with the Visine. It seems like they hold the products in the back or something… Anybody else have this problem??????

So sad this is an in store and not advertised sale……because walmart has been matching ad sales……..which saves me on gas!

This deal is advertised in the ad coming out this Sunday, if you can wait that long!

      • Carole says:

I’ll wait until ad comes in our Sat. paper! That way I can use the $3 off either way!!! Thanks for the update! U rock!

I have two coupons one free herbal essence product and one free aussie product. If i use both coupons in a transaction, will i still get the RR?

    • Anonymous says:

I’m not familiar with those coupons. As long as you are carefully meeting the requirements and limitations on both of the coupons and buying two qualifying products, you should still receive the Register Reward!

    • Daphne says:

I had the same coupons and used them. I still got the RR. Making them free and a $2 MM!

  7. ssgtsdaisy says:

I have so much shampoo and conditioner, I don’t think I need to buy anymore even though this is a GREAT deal!

I really don’t like the way this is stated. In order to realize the $.50 your counting the register reward as payment. The Register Reward can not be used until the next transaction. Personally I count cash out of pocket at time of sale and not “future savings”.

I have seen this post a couple times, I just want to remind you KCL is helping you out. You could try to look at all the ads and find the items that are free by yourself. She is giving great advice and telling your outcome in the end, just use your register rewards week to week and you will spend less money out of pocket.

    • Ubei says:

KCL did say that “pay” $$$ that means your out of pocket amount. Like Brittany said you need to figure which is best deal for you and shop around. If you follow step by step all the time, you’ll never figure things out on your own. :P

The KCL is right you do save that if you do rolling transactions. say if Walgreens has Aussie on sale offering a 2.00 RR for buying 2, and you see crest pro health on sale for 3.99 and it comes with a 3.00 RR on 2. So.. you do several tranactions. This is how it would go: trans #1 purchase 2 Aussie shampoo/conditioner use 3.00/2 pay 3.00 receive 2.00 RR. Trans #2 purchase 1 Crest Pro Health for 3.99 use the 2.00 RR and pay OOP 1.99 plus tax and receive a 3.00 RR. Then on Trans #3 you purchase 2 Aussie use 3.00/2 and pay with the 3.00 RR you got from Trans #2 and you only pay OOP tax and you receive a 2.00 RR. So OOP on your trip you spent 4.99 plus tax for 4 shampoos and 1 mouthwash plus you have 2.00 to use on your next trip to do the rolling allover again. So you purchased 4 shampoos 2 were only tax and 2 were 3.00 depending on your tax mine is 8.1% this is what it would cost me .83 cents a piece because I did not start off with a RR and my cost of the mouthwash was 1.99 OOP. so total OOP was 4.99 plus tax and I have 2.00 to use on my next trip so my first transaction will start off with a savings.

Hi,, hellpppp! I have been looking for the $3 cuopon for the shampoo and did not find it. please help.

  10. Carole says:

My Walgreens ad for this week has the family size (23.7 to 29.2 oz) Aussie shampoo & conditioner for $5.99. Ad mentions to use the $2 coupon in Sunday paper to bring price down to $3.99, but no RR for buying product.

  11. Julie says:

I cannot locate the RedPlum coupons. Can you help?

    • sweetclaudia says:

Me neither. Let me know if you find it.

    • Anonymous says:

It is in the Red Plum insert from 8/5. If you didn’t find it in your insert, then it is a regional coupon that your region didn’t receive. Sorry!

  12. KendraMarie19 says:

Does this sale start on Sunday?

    • Daphne says:

No, it’s going on right now. I went yesterday and saw it at my Walgreen’s.

    • Anonymous says:

It’s going on now until 9/29!

      • KendraMarie19 says:

If there is no sign is it still happening at that store? I went today to get this but i didn’t see any tags. I asked the cashier but he acted like I was crazy and didn’t know what I was talking about lol. I guess he didn’t really know about it or was confused lol. I’m gonna try it tomorrow and see if it works :)

  13. ashley says:

if i get 4 do i get the 4 rr or do i need diff trans?

    • Anonymous says:

At Walgreens, you need to separate your transactions to get two $2.00 Register Rewards. And be sure not to use the Register Reward from the first transaction as payment in the second transaction. (Otherwise the second Register Reward will not print.)

      • Daphne says:

I never knew that if you used the register reward from the first transaction on the second one that the register reward wouldn’t print. No wonder my register reward didn’t print for a different item when I used the register reward for the second transaction. Thanks, now I will know for next time.

        • Anonymous says:

also some Walgreens only allow 1 of that deal per day.

        • sanya blender says:

KCL had explained it great a few months ago, how you have to do it to get the most out of RR is say you see 2 items you are interested in you will have to do several transactions to get the most out of the RR in the first transaction you purchase the first item that has a RR. In the second transaction you purchase the second item that has a RR and use the RR from the first transaction to save money, then you get another RR for the second item. You then purchase another of the first item in the third transaction and use the RR from the second transaction and you will receive another RR. That is what KCL called rolling.
