Kool-Aid-Lip-Gloss

Try this colorful lip gloss made with just two ingredients: Kool-Aid and Vaseline. What a fun, easy activity for kids of all ages. The upsides: Kool-Aid comes in a variety of colors, tastes great, and is super cheap! Make a few extra and give as gifts!

Materials Needed:

  • Kool-Aid packets – $0.17 a packet at Wal-Mart
  • Vaseline
  • Container for lip gloss storage – use a small empty spice container, or any small jar will work.
  • Craft supplies – optional

Directions:

  1. Put a cup of Vaseline into a small microwavable bowl.
  2. Heat until it is easy to stir, about 30 seconds. Be careful not to let it turn into liquid. (The Vaseline in the very bottom may liquefy, but the key is to just get it warm enough to stir.)
  3. Sprinkle Kool-Aid into Vaseline and stir.
  4. Transfer to container and enjoy!

We made these in the past and to avoid the graininess from the Kool-Aid dissolve in a tiny bit of water first

Kool-aid tastes really bad without sugar. Do you use the sugar free kind? Or can someone use jello packets?

You dont eat it lol

I tried it and I added sugar because it was sour and it still tasted discusting

Add about 2 teaspoons of sugar to each container. Gets rid of the bitter taste 🙂

Add honey to it to sweeten and honey is good for the skin.
