Kohl's Deal Dash: Free Shipping, Stackable Coupons, & What to Know for 2024

Kohl’s Deal Dash is an annual event to compete with Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days, which happen in October. In 2023, Deal Dash literally overlapped with their rival, running for three days from Oct. 9 – 11 (comparatively, Amazon’s sale was Oct. 10 – 11). Of course, they weren’t the only ones getting in on the competitive sales. We saw Target Circle Week at the beginning of the month, and Walmart Deals — Holiday Kickoff from Oct. 9 – 12.

Additionally, there were plenty of coupons you could stack during Kohl’s Deal Dash to make good deals truly great:

  • $10 off a $50+ purchase Rewards coupon with code GET10
  • 20% off a qualifying purchase Rewards coupon code GET20
  • $10 off a $50 home purchase with code HOME10 (dropped early and was valid thru Oct. 15)
  • $10 off a $50 toy purchase with code TOYS10 (dropped early and was valid now thru Oct. 15)

Even better, there was no purchase minimum for free shipping during Kohl’s Deal Dash. Typically you have to spend $49+ to score that.

In 2022, Kohl’s Deal Dash only ran for two days, so clearly they got feistier by adding a day ahead of Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Day in 2023. The sale started at 12:01 a.m. CT on Monday, Oct. 9, ideal for late-night online shoppers (guilty!).

Kohl’s Deal Dash kicked off at 12:01am CT on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023, running through Oct. 11.

As a competing sales event to Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days, Kohl’s Deal Dash ran from Oct. 9 – 11. The sale officially kicked off online at 12:01am CT (so that was 1am for you EST folks and 10pm, technically on Oct. 8, for everyone in the PST zone).

Kohl’s ran sales across all categories, including apparel, home, toys, accessories, and even Halloween candy. In 2024, expect to see similar savings up to 78% off, but largely falling in the 25 – 40% range.

You could’ve stacked four different coupons, including the $10 off $50 coupon, and 20% off coupon, for even bigger savings.

In 2023, this event was kind of like a Kohl’s Rewards coupons bonanza. There was a total of four different coupons that you can stack on qualifying purchases.

  • $10 off a $50+ purchase Rewards coupon GET10 (available Oct. 9 – 11)
  • 20% off a qualifying purchase Rewards coupon GET20 (available Oct. 9 – 11)
  • $10 off a $50 home purchase with code HOME10 (available Oct. 6 – 15)
  • $10 off a $50 toy purchase with code TOYS10 (available Oct. 6 – 15)

If your purchase rang up at $50 or above, you could stack the $10 off $50 coupon during Kohl’s Deal Dash with their 20% off coupon to increase your savings. As with all Kohl’s coupons, some exclusions applied. Here are a few of the brands and categories you couldn’t use these bad boys on:

  • Columbia
  • Converse
  • Crocs
  • Gift cards
  • Instant Pot
  • Koolaburra by UGG
  • Nike
  • Toms
  • Vera Bradley
  • All beauty and fragrance items
  • Toys (with the exception of the rare $10 off $50 toy purchase coupon)

Now this is something we like to see: Kohl’s offered free shipping with no purchase minimum during their Deal Dash event. Typically your order has to be $49+ in order to qualify for free shipping with the retailer. Of course, you can also choose free Kohl’s Self Pickup if you prefer to do the driving yourself.

 

 

If you missed out on Kohl’s Deal Dash, their Friends & Family event is expected back in Dec. 2023.

Koh’s Friends & Family events typically happen six times a year. That means we have just one left in 2023, which we expect to occur in December. During their Friends & Family events there’s a coupon for between 20 – 25% off qualifying purchases to stack on top of sale items. And, of course, there are Kohl’s Black Friday sales in November.
