17 Amazon Alternatives to Satisfy All Your Shopping Needs
1. Overstock
For the better part of a decade, Overstock has been my go-to for affordable furniture. But they also carry lighting, bedding, decor, kids’ items, exercise equipment, and even large appliances.
They’re always running at least one awesome deal. For example, they might have an extra 20% off select furniture or a sale on rugs.
You should also check the deals, clearance, and coupon pages. Overstock even alerts you to price drops. For further savings, consider joining Club O, their loyalty program, to get rewards. The cost of membership is $19.95 for the year. One of its perks is that you get 5% back on your Overstock purchases added to your Club O account.
Overstock offers free standard shipping on everything, easy (though not always free) returns, and items ship in one to four business days.
2. Target
Target! Is there anywhere better to blow your paycheck … I mean, wisely spend your extra cash? No. The answer is no. They run plenty of deals and also have a clearance page. Plus, you can find additional coupons in their weekly ads.
Same-day delivery is available, or you can always order ahead and pick it up at a location near you. Outside of that, delivery to your home might take a few extra days.
Target gives shoppers plenty of ways to save. Keep more money in your wallet with the RedCard (their credit card), which offers 5% back on purchases, and Target Circle (their rewards program). You can also pay installments for your purchase over time with Affirm.

3. OfferUp
We know you might not consider this an Amazon alternative, but OfferUp is still a goldmine of goodies — especially if you love a good bargain. Described as an online “mobile-first” consumer-to-consumer platform, OfferUp’s sellers have a lot to, well, offer. From electronics and beauty products to clothing and even cars, OfferUp has just about everything you could ever need.
While shoppers commonly use OfferUp to buy things locally, they do support shipping to and from all states via USPS except for Alaska, Arkansas, and Hawaii.
4. Uncommon Goods
“I like Amazon because they have everything,” you’re saying, and I get it. But if you want an Amazon alternative to shop at, guess what? You can still find all of the obscure and unique gifts you want (like banana-saving hats) on Uncommon Goods. UG loves running limited-time offers, you can use Afterpay to make interest-free payments, and if you join Uncommon Perks, you can get free shipping. Start with their weeklong free trial, and then after that, it’s $19.90 a year.
Head to their sales page for better deals.
5. AliExpress
In terms of inventory and prices, AliExpress definitely gives Amazon a run for their money. One thing to be aware of is that for many (if not most) of their products, there are multiple shipping options. Go through these carefully so that you know what to expect for shipping costs and delivery dates.
If you’re ever unsure of a purchase, go back to the main results page and sort it by Orders. This will list your results by how many times the item has been bought.
To protect buyers, they offer a money-back guarantee and free returns.
6. Newegg
Newegg is a tech lover’s dream. Gadgets are their specialty, including computers, appliances, gaming, and home security. Check out their daily deals and game deals for major savings. Similar to Target, you can use their credit card to make interest-free payments if you pay off your balance in full within the designated amount of time. Affirm and Zip are also available.
Enjoy free shipping on certain items. The delivery time will depend on the product and where you live. As an example, I put a mini fridge in my shopping cart and it gave me an estimated delivery time of eight to 10 days.
7. Grove Collaborative
Grove is all about selling sustainable products, and the marketplace focuses on household purchases and personal care. They make a low-price guarantee and even offer price matching.
If you join their free VIP membership program for $19.99 a year, you get unlimited free shipping, exclusive promos, and other cool perks. Otherwise, regular shipping is $4.99 per order.
Grove aims to make your shopping experience customized and convenient, too. They’ll let you personalize your own subscription plan and choose your delivery dates. This way you always get what you need when you need it.
8. eBid
An online auction and fixed big marketplace, eBid is a budgetista’s safe place. They have everything, and I do mean everything — millions of products across … who knows how many categories.
Shipping times and rates vary, but on every product listing, you can enter your zip code and it’ll tell you what you can expect.
9. Chewy
If you need an Amazon alternative for pet products specifically, Chewy is it. Shipping is simple: for orders of $49 and up, it’s free. If your purchase is under $49, you pay a flat rate of $4.95.
They offer weekly deals, too. Save even more by setting up auto-ship.
10. Craigslist
Whether you want to pick something up locally or have it shipped, Craigslist has everything you could ever want and then some. The advantage of picking it up in person is that you can see the product before you fork over any cash. With that being said, make sure all transactions are done in a public place, and be wary of any deals that look too good to be true.
11. World Market
World Market is the home goods store you never knew you needed. Browse to your heart’s content from their selection of furniture, decor, lighting, and beyond. They’re always running sales, and the clearance section is fire. Become a member to access additional deals.
Shipping depends on the item but can be quite speedy. Note that if your item is heavy or oddly shaped, it might take longer to arrive.
The shipping costs depend on which method you choose, the value of your total order, and any surcharges. However, rates start at $4.95. Learn more about World Market’s shipping policies and when you can expect your purchases to show up.
12. Facebook Marketplace
People are always trying to get rid of their stuff and make a buck. Heck, some people give things away for free. Facebook Marketplace is a great Amazon alternative, whether you want to pick it up locally or are open to getting an item shipped. Talk to your specific seller about estimated delivery times.
Always do your due diligence and watch out for common Facebook Marketplace scams.
13. eBay
Some people get a rush from bidding sites. If that’s you, eBay is the place to be. Ebay uses a number of factors to determine shipping times, including how close you are to the seller, the shipping method, and the seller’s shipping history.
14. Instacart
Too lazy to go to the grocery store? Same. Instacart is the real MVP. Their delivery fees start at $3.99 for same-day orders that are over $35. You might also have additional service fees based on your location and what exactly you’ve got in your cart. For orders containing alcohol, there’s a separate service fee. You can save on these extra costs by becoming an Instacart+ member. If you go that route, you can choose either an annual or monthly Instacart+ membership. They will show you a cost when you pick a plan, as rates vary.
Estimated delivery times can be as soon as 45 minutes, meaning you get your goods in a flash.
15. Hive
For people who want to shop sustainably, Hive is your place. Stock up on snacks, personal care items, and even pet products. They aim to fulfill orders within 48 hours, and you can expect your purchases to arrive within two to five days.
In terms of costs, if your order is over $50, shipping anywhere in the U.S. is free. For orders of less than $50, there’s a $12.95 shipping and handling fee. The exceptions are Arkansas, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. territories — those have a flat shipping fee of $30.
16. BuyDig
Here’s another one for tech and gadget lovers. BuyDig specializes in items like TVs, cameras, and computers. Eligible items have free 2-day shipping. They process orders as soon as they’re placed (during normal business hours) and generally ship in one to two business days. How fast you get your order depends on the shipping method you choose.
17. Public Goods
Sustainable products at wholesale prices? Sign me up. Public Goods delivers for free within the contiguous U.S. as long as your order is over $45. If the order is over $100, they’ll also ship free to Canada. Orders are processed and shipped the next business day, and they take two to six business days to arrive for U.S. orders and five to 10 days for orders heading to Canada. Depending on your location, choose from UPS, USPS, or FedEx.
