Why use Dial hand soap when you can get Bath & Body Works’ hand soap for about the same price?

The secret to getting rock-bottom prices is knowing how to shop Bath & Body Works’ Semi-Annual Sale. I’m going to tell you the Semi-Annual Sale dates, best things to buy and more, so buckle up and let’s go.

If you can’t wait for the sale, check out the best Bath & Body Works deals that are available now right here!

1. Bath & Body Works’ Semi-Annual Sales show up twice a year in December and June.

The Bath & Body Works winter sale starts the day after Christmas and goes through the entire month of January.

During these sales, expect to see store-wide discounts of up to 75% off before coupons.

2. When is the next Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale?

Based on historical trends, we’ve found that the spring sale starts on the second week in June and runs through the first week of July.

3. Combine Bath & Body Works coupons with Semi-Annual Sale discounts to get stock-up prices.

Sure, 75% off is amazing for Bath & Body Works. But should you be content with just the sale price?

Of course not!

Instead, look for coupons and promo codes you can stack with sale prices to get all-time low prices on candles, hand soap, Wallflowers and more.

These are stock-up prices:

  • Hand soap: $2.25 or less
  • Body lotion: $3.00 or less
  • Shower gel: $4.50 or less
  • Wallflowers: $3.00 or less
  • Candles: $8.95 or less

4. Plan to get Wallflowers for up to 65% off.

In past years, Wallflowers were on sale for $3.00 each when you bought 14 (reg. $6.50 each) during the Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale.

Then when you used a $10 off $40 coupon, it brought the total down to $2.29 each.

5. Don’t bother buying candles — they’ll reach $5.95 on Candle Day in December.

Yes, you can get a few retired candle scents for as low as $6.13 each during the Semi-Annual Sales.

But if you’re on a budget and you want other Bath & Body Works items too, focus instead on hand soap, Wallflowers and Aromatherapy.

Plan to stock up on candles during Bath & Body Works’ annual Candle Day sale on the first Saturday in December.

Candles will be marked down to $8.95 and when you shop in store, you can stack a coupon with the sale. (If you shop online, you’ll need to use a promo code like CANDLEDAY to get the sale price. Since you can’t use more than one promo code, you won’t be able to use additional discounts.)

For example, when you use a coupon like “$15 off a $40 purchase,” you can get candles for $5.95 each when you buy five on Candle Day.

6. Get Bath & Body Works Aromatherapy for up to 76% off.

Definitely stock up on Aromatherapy items like Body Cream during the Semi-Annual Sale.

Since this is the biggest discount we see on Aromatherapy at Bath & Body Works, it’s smart to focus your efforts here.

We’ve seen Aromatherapy Body Care items with a sale like “Buy 8 and get them for $5 each” (reg. $15.00 each). Then when you use a “$10 off a $40 purchase” coupon, your total comes to $3.75 each when you shop in the store.

7. You’ll always pay less at Bath & Body Works when you go in store — not online.

Since you can only use one promo code at a time online at Bath & Body Works, it’s best to shop in the store so you can avoid paying $5.99 for shipping — and you can use a coupon.

Any free shipping you get will use up your one promo code, and you won’t be able to use other discounts during the Semi-Annual Sale, which is super sad.

Bath & Body Works has been implementing new cleaning guidelines throughout their stores since the COVID-19 pandemic, but they urge customers to maintain social distancing measures and wear a face mask. Check to see if your local Bath & Body Works store has reopened with new safety guidelines.

8. But if you’re gonna shop online, do it when you see a free or $1.00 shipping promotion.

The exception to the “only shop in store” rule is during Semi-Annual Sales when items are marked down 75% and there’s a promo code for free or $1.00 shipping.

This doesn’t always happen, but when it does, you can reach stock-up prices shopping online, or get super close!

9. Pay attention to coupon dates to make sure you don’t miss an overlap with the sale.

The tricky thing about Bath & Body Works coupons and the Semi-Annual Sale is that the coupons come and go during the sale month, meaning one coupon may expire before the sale ends.

In fact, the example I gave before where Aromatherapy was available for up to 76% less than regular prices was dependent on a coupon that expired mid-month while there was still two weeks left of the Semi-Annual Sale.

Don’t assume every coupon lasts the whole sale.

10. But go ahead and use a Bath & Body Works coupon for up to three days after it’s expired.

Bath & Body Works offers a grace period for coupons — three days before a coupon is valid to three days after it’s expired.

So if you just barely missed the expiration date, try to use it in store!

I’m not promising every manager will let you do this, but many will!

And, if you received a direct mail offer that expired during recent coronavirus store closures, Bath & Body Works will take the expired offer through June 30, 2020.

11. Buy items up to a week before the Semi-Annual Sale and then get a price adjustment.

If you’re concerned about selection running low — which it always does during the Semi-Annual Sale — plan to buy your favorite items up to a week before the sale starts.

Then once the sale hits, bring your receipt back into the store and ask for a price adjustment to get Semi-Annual Sale prices.

Bath & Body Works offers a price adjustment for up to 14 days after your purchase.

12. Buy hand soap when you can save at least 65%.

To get the lowest price on hand soap at Bath & Body Works, you’ll need to stock up.

I’m sure you’re planning to anyway, but buying a lot of hand soap is your ticket to saving the most per bottle.

For example, it’s common for hand soap to be on sale for $3.00 each (reg. $6.50) during the Semi-Annual Sale. Plus, there’s often a coupon — like a $10 off $40 — that you can combine with the sale price.

You’ll need to buy 14 bottles of hand soap in order to get them for stock-up prices near $2.25 each.
