Recently, I contacted 98 brands to ask if they would send me free high-value coupons.

Over the last several weeks, I’ve received coupons from 42 of them. Some were kind enough to send handwritten notes along with multiple coupons, and a few other items like stickers and recipe cards. Better yet, some sent me coupons for free products!

Here’s who sent high-value coupons:

First — how to write a coupon request.

I contacted all the brands through their “contact us” form on their websites. Here’s how I wrote almost one hundred coupon requests:

  • I filled in my information into the contact form.
  • I complimented the brand and/or product.
  • I included my name and mailing address below every request.
  • If I had experience with the product I would discuss it. If I didn’t have experience with a product I mentioned something about it like its flavor.

Here are a few of my coupon requests that worked! If you use any of these samples, be sure to change out the company and product! Just copy and paste them into the comment box on each “contact us” form:

Hello!

I just wanted to take a moment to let you know how much I love your soups! The potato leek is divine, and a common staple during the fall and winter in my household.

I’ve tried other brands and have been very disappointed. I’m thrilled to have finally found something I love that makes my life so much easier when I don’t want to cook a big meal!

Do you ever make coupons available for your products? I’m a huge fan so if I could offset the cost even a little bit I’d love you even more.

Thanks!

Dear Celestial Seasonings

I absolutely love your line of teas and drink a variety of them every day. Of course, the flavor I chose reflects the mood I am in, so I don’t have a favorite per se. Each flavor is smooth and fresh. Your dedication to the art of tea is obvious. As one of your biggest fans, I would like to inquire if you ever send out coupons beyond your newsletter, that could help offset the cost of your fine product?

Thank you!

Hello,

Edy’s ice cream is the best! Thankfully each of our family members (5) gets to choose his or her own flavor, then we have enough variety to go around. I mean let’s face it, it’s difficult to pick between chocolate chip cookie dough, butter pecan, mint chocolate chip, rocky road, and caramel delight. Don’t worry, those aren’t the only flavors we grab off the shelves! Thank you for your dedication to making such crazy delicious ice cream. Do you offer coupons via snail mail? If so, my family and I would be both ecstatic and grateful. Thank you for your time, it is appreciated.

Thank you, have a great day!

Hello,

My family loves Chobani products. In our house, we make sure to eat at least one yogurt a piece to help keep our gut bacteria up and running. The flavor combinations are delicious, and the texture is amazing. Thank you for your dedication to making such great products. As a loyal customer, I would like to inquire if you ever send out coupons beyond your newsletter, that could help offset the cost of your yummy products?

Thank you, have a great day!

I received coupons from 5 of their other companies.
