Bath & Body Works’ Rewards program gives shoppers the highest value back of any national loyalty or reward program on the market today. An unprecedented 22% back in value is not only reason to join, but also to shop. And isn’t that the point? Well played, BBW.
The program is regional, but those outside participating regions can use the program to earn points and redeem freebies online.
Now on to the loyalty program:
1. Get a freebie worth up to $16.50 when you spend $75.
Members earn 1 point per $1 spent, and once you accumulate 75 points, you’ll get a freebie valued at $16.50 or less. (You can’t apply the $16.50 to a higher-priced item, and sale prices aren’t included.)
Lots of aromatherapy items, body scrubs, and body oils are $16.50; that’s what you want to get to maximize your Reward. Sort by price high to low to quickly find items priced at $16.50.
To earn points, you must reach the $75 qualifying spend on your total out-of-pocket expense. That means if you spend $75 and use a $10 off coupon, you won’t have quite earned your first Reward.
2. And a $10 off $30 coupon just for signing up.
Get a $10 off $30 Bath & Body Works coupon when you join. The coupon is delivered within 24 hours and it expires 30 days after you receive it. Sign up for My Bath & Body Rewards before Black Friday, Candle Day, or Semi-Annual Sale.
And if you get greedy, remember it’s one coupon per account. I can already see the Bath & Body Works app icon on your partner’s phone . . .
3. Rewards members get a birthday gift worth up to $7.50.
Get a free Birthday item with any Bath & Body Works purchase just for being a Rewards member. The birthday reward entitles you to a free body care item with regular price up to $7.50. Choose from travel size hand or body creams and lotions or travel size shower gels.
Bath & Body Works’ birthday freebie begins on your birthday and is valid for 30 days after.
You must make a purchase in order to redeem the coupon. And the coupon won’t stack with sales. So if travel size creams are on sale “buy 2, get 1 free”, you would have to buy four items in order to use your free item coupon and still get the free item as part of the “buy 2, get 1 free” sale.
4. Tragically, this is only officially launched in 9 states, but anyone can join.
The Rewards program has been around since 2019. And Bath & Body Works’ website still states the program is in testing. It feels like an inevitability that this rolls out nationwide.
Anyone can join the Rewards program. Those of us in the 41 states not listed below only miss out on a few benefits.
- North Carolina
- South Carolina
5. Shop online and earn points, regardless of your shipping address.
I live in Idaho and I used an Illinois zip code to sign up for the Rewards program. I set my billing and shipping addresses to my home in Idaho.
I order online, ship to my myself, and earn points every time. When shopping online, there is really no difference between those in participating states and those not.
6. Everyone can get points for in-store purchases too.
It’s true. Even those of us on the outside can still earn points for our purchases. The POS system (point of sale . . . not the other thing) at Bath.& Body Works is smart. When I pay with my credit card, it pulls up my account. My cashier always thanks me by name and lets me know my points have been added to my account. If it doesn’t work that way for you, or you’re paying another way, the cashier can take your phone number in order to link your purchase to your Rewards account.
For those in qualifying states, you also have the option to open the Bath & Body Works app and show the cashier the barcode in your wallet.
7. Free product Rewards can be redeemed in store or online.
If you’re in one of those nine states above, you can redeem your Rewards in store, which is lucky for you, because you don’t have to contend with trying to find Bath & Body Works free shipping.
The rest of us can redeem our Reward for a free item online. We can even ship or online order to any store that offers in-store pickup.
Nobody wants to pay the $5.99 shipping charge that accompanies every Bath & Body Works order. Luckily, free item Rewards are valid for 90 days after you receive them. That’s likely enough time to stumble across a free shipping code.
8. Rewards can’t be stacked with sales or promos.
You know I tried. Bath & Body Works’ free item Rewards must be used on a product with a retail value of $16.50 or less. You cannot buy two $8 items and get them both free. You cannot use three free item Rewards on a Buy 3, Get 1 free sale and get four items free.
I’m not complaining. Just clarifying. Free product with no purchase required is fine by me.
9. Redeem multiple (up to eight) Rewards at once.
If you’ve stockpiled My Bath & Body Rewards points, they’ll let you use up to eight Rewards in one transaction (one freebie of up to $16.50 per Reward). Make sure you tell the cashier when you’re ready to use Rewards.
Then, when you scan your barcode at checkout, the register will automatically apply your available Rewards to the highest-priced eligible items.
10. Get early access to Candle Day every year.
Rewards member get to shop the super-popular Candle Day sale online a whole 24 hours before everyone else. Look for early access to begin this year at 12:01 a.m. on December 3.
11. Get text alerts with Bath & Body Works sales and coupons.
If you want in on our free Bath & Body Works alerts, text “BBW” to +1 (208) 266-4466 and be the first to know about the hottest deals each day, like reminders of the Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale and more.
