In 2024, we expect the sale to go live on Friday, Dec. 13, for Bath & Body Works Rewards members, both in-store and online, the entire day. Then the sale should continue for everyone on Saturday, Dec. 14 through Sunday, Dec. 15.
The Bath & Body Works sales schedule is pretty consistent. So based on historical data, this is always one of the last big B&BW sales before the end of the year. After the body care event will be the Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual Sale.

Body Care Day is a once-a-year, weekend event where all body care products cost $4.95.
For one weekend in December, Bath & Body Works discounts all of their body care products (lotions, soaps, fragrances, body scrubs, etc.) to $4.95. The sale happens in stores and online.
KCL predicts the next Bath & Body Works Body Care Day will begin Friday, Dec. 13, 2024.
Bath & Body Works hasn’t officially announced the next date for their Body Care Day event. However, based on what they've done in recent years, we here at KCL predict that it’ll take place between Friday, Dec. 13, and Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024.
How do we make our prediction?
In past years, the Body Care “Day” event has taken place over a weekend, starting on the second Friday in December (a week after Candle Day). In 2024, the second Friday is Dec. 13.
Which products will be on sale during Body Care Day?
During the Bath & Body Works Body Care Day event, all body washes, shower gels, bubble baths, scrubs, lotions, and creams are on sale for $4.95 — that's between a 69 - 74% discount. It doesn't matter if it's a seasonal scent or a classic fragrance — they are all marked down the same on Body Care Day. So stocking up on favorites during this sale is one of our favorite Bath & Body Works hacks.
There's a max of 24 body care products per customer during the sale, so choose wisely.
Note: Unfortunately, the sale doesn’t include perfumes or men’s cologne.
We expect body care items will be $4.95 with a promo code once again in 2024.
Bath & Body Works debuted Body Care Day in 2018. Back then the price was $2.95 for body lotion only (that was literally the only item included in the sale). In 2019 Bath & Body Works added their full line of body care products to the event, increasing the price to $4.95. In 2020, the price was hiked up (just like Candle Day) to $5.95. But in 2021, they dropped the price down to $5.50.
The price for body care items in 2023 was $4.95 with the promo code EVERYTHING, the same price as it was in 2022.
How do Body Care Day prices compare to the rest of the year?
Bath & Body Works body care products are marked between $14.95 - $18.95 at regular price. The second best time of year to buy body care is during a Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual sale, when you can find a few seasonal scents around $3.50. Other times of the year, like Black Friday, you'll see Buy 3 Get 3 Free promotions — so 50% off but you're locked into getting six products. Plus, that percentage isn't nearly as good as, say, 70%.
Can you use coupons on Body Care Day?
Bath & Body Works coupons don’t have any blackout dates, so if you have a valid coupon, you can use it on Body Care Day as long as you’re shopping in store (more on that in a sec).
Mail coupons that overlap with Body Care Day do exist. And the Bath & Body Works Rewards program is available in all areas, so you’ll want to sign up so you get your welcome coupon for $10 off a $30 purchase. The coupon code is valid in store and online. All new Rewards members will receive this offer, and details will be in your Wallet within 72 hours of joining.
Because the coupon expires 30 days from when you sign up, don’t take the steps to get this coupon until the week before the next anticipated Body Care Day date. If you already have an account, sign up your partner, your mom, the mail carrier, or anyone willing to share that code with you once they receive it.
Is Body Care Day available in-store and online?
Yes, it is. However, Body Care Day online requires you to use a digital coupon code to get the discounted price. Because you can only use one code per online order, stacking coupons online on Body Care Day doesn’t work. For this reason I suggest shopping in-store.
But coupon stacking isn't the only reason. It’s also because of the issues with Bath & Body Works’ free shipping — or lack thereof. Plus, the store pickup option is usually paused on Body Care Day — making it nearly impossible to avoid the $6.99 standard shipping fee.
Secrets to Shopping Bath & Body Works Body Care Day
Even the best sales can be better with a little hacking...
Focus on the higher price point body care items during the sale.
The best products to buy during the Body Care Sale (and the ones that typically sell out the fastest) are body scrubs and body butter. These two products have a higher regular price point than other body care products, making the savings go even further!
TIP: Skip buying the bar soap, as its sale price is right around the $4.95 offered for Body Care Day.
Shop the sale a day early as a Bath & Body Works Rewards member.
Bath & Body Works Rewards program members got early access to Body Care Day for the full day on Dec. 8, 2023 in stores and online. This means access to the best selection. Because once a scent is sold out on Body Care Day, it's unlikely to be restocked.
