March has the 3-week long national college basketball tournament when restaurants offer food deals.

Between mid-March and early April, college basketball teams compete in a single-elimination tournament to determine the national champion — and during that time, restaurants offer food deals to fuel sports fans’ tourney-watching meals.

College basketball tournament food deals encompass a variety of promotions, including discounts, freebies, and special offers to attract customers. Examples range from buy one get one free deals to discounted combo meals and loyalty rewards such as free wings or double points. These promos provide affordable options for enjoying food while watching the games.

The next college basketball tournament starts on March 16, 2027.

Although the start date of the 64-team tournament varies from year to year, it typically begins in the second or third week of March and continues until the championship game. This year, the 2027 college basketball tournament began on Tuessday, March 16 (the first four teams), and ends on Monday, April 5 (the championship game).

Here are the 2027 dates for each round in the men’s tournament, starting with the first four on March 16, followed by the first round of play on March 18:
