Macy’s Black Friday: How to Save the Most in 2026

The Macy’s Black Friday sale is one of our favorites each year because you can expect to save 70%-80% on clothing, toys, jewelry, bedding, and more (up to 85% off if you factor in special Bonus Buys).

Here are the most important dates you need to know for 2026:

• Nov. 22 - 28 (predicted): Macy's Black Friday sale. While Macy's will probably have early Black Friday deals throughout November, their official Black Friday sale will likely kick off the Sunday before Thanksgiving.

What KCL Experts Think You Should Know

• Here's when to shop: Black Friday deals at Macy's usually start the Sunday before Black Friday at Macy’s (as they've been doing since 2021) and run through Black Friday weekend. Plus, they offered the following early sales in 2025:

  • Nov. 10 - 13: Black Friday Early Access

  • Nov. 14 - 22: Black Friday Starts Now deals

• Macy's stores open early on Black Friday: Stores will likely open 6 a.m. and stay open through 10 p.m.

• Look for "Bonus Buy" jewelry at 85% off: Macy’s Diamond Bonus Buy jewelry is consistently among the best value you can get during their Black Friday sale. In 2025, they offered a $13 Clinique minis set ($42 value) for making any purchase on Macys.com as well as Tommy Bahama pillows (set of two) for $12.99 (reg. $50).

• Keep an eye out on Macy's site for a coupon for an extra 20% off: In the past, Macy's has offered a Black Friday coupon for 20% off (10% off in certain departments). We didn't see it in 2025, though. Note that you can’t stack the coupon with Specials or Bonus Offers.

• Macy's Black Friday boot deals are famous: Macy's is known for having women's boots for $19.99 on Black Friday. In 2025, Macy's offered the $19.99 price on Style & Co boots that were originally $79.99, meaning this deal saved you 75%.

Tips on How to Make Your Deal Shopping a Success

1. Shopping Options: If you're just not an in-store shopper, don't worry — each of Macy's Black Friday deals is available on Macy's.com. If you do prefer shopping in stores, just remember that Macy's is closed on Thanksgiving.

2. Holiday Store Policies:

   • Returns: Macy's offers extended returns for the holidays, meaning that anything you bought between Oct. 6 and Dec. 31 can be returned through Jan. 31, 2026.

   • Price Matching: Sadly, Macy's doesn't price match competitors on Black Friday or any other time.

   • Free Shipping: Shipping is always free on orders over $39 for Bronze (entry level) members of the Macy’s Star Rewards loyalty program, so it's worth joining just for that. For non-rewards members, a purchase of $49 or more is needed to land free shipping. Store pickup is always free.

3. Doorbusters: Macy's doesn't do the exclusive in-store doorbuster thing anymore. However, they do have some great Black Friday bonus offers, like 75% off 14K gold jewelry. It's rare to see a Macy's Black Friday deal fully sell out. But if you're after a certain size boot or certain color towel, shop early to make sure what you want is still in stock.

4. Earning Star Rewards on Black Friday: If you shop Macy's at all, we highly recommend you sign up for their Star Rewards program. It's free to join and allows you to earn points on qualifying purchases, which lead to Star Cash you can use on future orders.

5. Cyber Monday: Macy's Cyber Monday sale takes the place of their Black Friday sale on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. In 2025, that means it starts on Nov. 30.
