You may not think of shopping at a drugstore for your groceries, but you can score some great prices with the right amount of coupon stacking. This week at CVS, select grocery products are on promotion: receive $5 ExtraBucks when you spend $20. Combine manufacturer coupons, store coupons, and rebate offers for major savings on brands like Larabar, Dunkin’ Donuts, and more.
Some things you should know:
- In order to trigger the ExtraBucks, you must hit at least 98% of the spend threshold. This is called the CVS 98% rule. You’ll notice the total in the second scenario before coupons is just under $20, but it’ll satisfy the requirement.
- In the first scenario, I added a cheap item to hit the spend threshold. Baking soda was the least expensive item I could find at my store that was included in the ExtraBucks promotion.
- The first scenario requires the use of a store coupon, which may vary by user. You’ll still receive a nice price without the store coupon.
- In order to be eligible for sale prices and ExtraBucks promotions, you must be an ExtraCare member. Sign up now.
- To clip the digital coupons, make sure to download the store app.
- You’ll also need to download the Fetch Rewards app and the Ibotta app. If you’re new to Fetch Rewards, sign up now. Additionally, download the app if you don’t yet have an Ibotta account.
- The Fetch Rewards rebate for General Mills is valid on boxes that are 12 ounces or more. Make sure at least one box you purchase is 12 ounces. For reference, Cinnamon Toast Crunch is 12 ounces, but Lucky Charms is just shy at 11.5 ounces.
