1. BJ’s Wholesale Club suspended the use of paper coupons on March 30.
BJ’s Wholesale Club announced last month they would suspend the use of paper coupons during the coronavirus pandemic. BJ’s encourages customers to use clipless coupon offers that will automatically apply at checkout.
Any manufacturer coupons that aren’t in the BJ’s Savings Book can be found in the BJ’s mobile app and website. Just load the digital coupons to your account, and they will automatically be applied to your order.
2. H-E-B canceled their store and digital coupon programs.
Due to inventory changing so rapidly during the pandemic, the H-E-B supermarket chain took the drastic step and completely halted their coupon program entirely during the pandemic. Good news, it’s only temporary!
3. Weis stopped taking coupons for curbside grocery pickup.
To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, Weis Markets introduced a contactless curbside pickup at its grocery stores. This means no paper coupons allowed, only digital savings for the time being!

4. PeaPod grocery delivery service discontinued accepting coupons for Stop & Shop and Giant.
Before the coronavirus, PeaPod customers could place manufacturer coupons in an envelope and leave them for your delivery driver to take and apply to future orders. Right now, all PeaPod deliveries are contactless, no paper coupons permitted.

5. Publix limits the number of items per coupon.
Although Publix grocery stores still permit the use of manufacturer coupons, they are limiting the number of items you can purchase. So if your coupon says “Buy X number of items to receive X amount of money off,” you’re out of luck if the number of items on your coupon exceeds the number permitted by the store.
6. Lowes Foods applies coupons to a future Lowes Foods purchase.
Instead of applying paper coupons to your current order, hand them to a Lowes Foods team member at curbside pickup, and they will load them into your Fresh Rewards card and apply them to a future order.

7. Kohl’s won’t take paper coupons at curbside pickup.
Even though you can’t use Kohl’s coupons at curbside pickup, you can use up to 10 digital promo codes and coupons when you place an order online at Kohls.com for pickup.
8. Sally Beauty Supply takes digital coupons over the phone for curbside pickup.
The only way you can place an order with Sally Beauty Supply is through Buy by Phone. Although digital coupons will be applied during your checkout, paper coupons aren’t accepted at curbside pickup.
9. JOANN won’t accept paper coupons at curbside pickup.
Unfortunately, JOANN is not accepting their paper coupons at curbside pickup. You can, however, apply digital coupons, and paper ones — if they state they are also for online use and have a code or number — when you place an order through the JOANN website, no matter if it’s for pickup or delivery.
