There’s a new female Monster Cereal in town, just in time for Halloween 2023 and for less than $5 at Walmart. After more than three decades (yep, monster cereal has been around for 35 years), General Mills released a new character cereal named Carmella Creeper. The company has been cranking out Monster Cereals since the 1970s, but without a leading lady. Until now, only Boo Berry, Count Chocula, and Franken Berry were part of the vampire-inspired monster crew, but times have changed.
For fans of the Monster Cereal lineup, they remind me of Saturday morning breakfast while watching cartoons. There’s nothing like drinking the blue or chocolate milk afterward. With the addition of Carmella Creeper, we’ll now have four ghoulish breakfast options. In fact, she’s already part of the family; she’s the long-lost cousin of Franken Berry.

Carmella Creeper and the other Monster Cereals started hitting retail shelves at the end of August 2023. Just in time to make a spooky treat for your Halloween party. For a limited time, there’s even a Monster Cereal Variety 4-Pack at Sam’s Club for $8.48.

This all-new cereal is flavored like a caramel apple and retails for less than $5 at Walmart.
The Carmella Creeper cereal has a caramel apple flavor. If that doesn’t sound tasty enough, there’s also Monster marshmallows in green, yellow, pink, purple, and orange. So far, Walmart has the lowest price at $4.93 for a 15.8-ounce box. There’s also a Monster Mash Remix cereal (which is also selling for $4.93 per 16-ounce box ) that’s a cornucopia of all the monster flavors. But more on that in a minute.
Carmella Creeper adds a freshness to the old monster lineup.
Described as a zombie DJ who’s a bit mischievous and energetic, Carmella Creeper adds a fresh face to the Monster Cereal family. She’s the life of the party, young, a practical joker, and fun (sounds like the KCL staff). Basically, not your average boring monster.
Carmella Creeper is also featured in a new berry-flavored Monster Mash Remix cereal.
In addition to the announcement of Carmella Creeper, General Mills released a flavor medley cereal of the monster flavors. Monster Mash Remix has Carmella Creeper, Franken Berry, Count Chocula, Boo Berry, Frute Brute, and Yummy Mummy all in one box. It will be available for a limited time. The last time these monsters were together was in 2021 when General Mills celebrated their 50th anniversary with a Monster Mash cereal.
