There’s nothing more I look forward to more than my family’s annual July 4 barbecue. But let’s be real, I’ve been anxious about what my grocery bill will look like as I gear up to host 20 guests in my backyard. Fortunately, I’ve found some deals on 8 must-haves that will save you big this Fourth of July, and ensure one affordable barbecue.

1. Get up to 60% off Oscar Mayer Hot Dogs, Heinz Tomato Ketchup & Kraft Singles at Kroger.
Kroger is offering big savings on three barbecue staples right now. You can get a 10-pack of Oscar Mayer Classic Uncured Wieners for $2.29, which saves you 30% and makes each one less than a quarter. Plus, a 38 oz. bottle of Heinz Tomato Ketchup is marked down from $5.29 to $3.49. This is a great deal, especially considering a 20 oz. bottle costs $4.29.
And don’t forget the cheese for your burgers: 16-ct. packages of Kraft Singles American Cheese Slices are just $1.99, saving you a massive 60% off their regular price of $4.99.
2. Save 51% on Coleman Outdoor Citronella Candles at Amazon and Walmart.
After one mosquito-filled 4th of July, I learned to stock up on citronella candles. One Coleman Outdoor Citronella Candle normally retails for $5.99 at Amazon and Walmart, but you can get them right now for $2.94 each. They smell good, keep pests away, and after it gets dark, they make for a nice decoration when I line a few on my deck. But don’t take my word for it: Coleman Outdoor Citronella Candles have an average rating of 4.5 stars and are the #1 best-selling jar candle on Amazon.
3. Get a 4th of July Decorations Kit on Amazon for $13.99.
I love that I can decorate for so cheap — and it saves me time and money. This 46-piece set includes an American flag banner, streamers, and paper fans. Plus, it’s a great way to keep the kids busy while I’m busy prepping the food.
4. For less than $20, you can get a brand new Expert Grill at Walmart.
If you need a new grill or are planning on going camping during the holiday weekend, Walmart has a 14.5” Portable Charcoal Grill on sale for $17.97. Since our gas grill has been acting up lately (but we don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a new one), I’m planning to pick one of these up, along with some charcoal.
5. Save 27% on Amazon When You Pick Otter Pops Over Fla-Vor-Ice.
While a 100-pack of Fla-Vor-Ice costs $10.24 on Amazon, you can get an 80-pack of Otter Pops for $5.99. That breaks down to around 10 cents for each Fla-Vor-Ice, and 7 cents for each Otter Pop, which goes a long way if your kids consume them like mine do.
6. Save Up to 24% When You Stock up on S’Mores Supplies at Target.
Let’s be real: No barbecue is complete without S’mores. Whether you need skewers, a grill basket, or even a S’Mores caddy, Target is offering the deals. You can get a Hershey’s S’mores Grilling Basket for as low as $8.39, or Hershey’s Extension Forks to keep your kids’ hands safe for as low as $7.12. They even have a Glow in the Dark S’mores Caddy for $17.99. (Just note that these items do not include graham crackers, marshmallows, or Hershey’s Chocolate Bars.)
