Planet Fitness is giving teens free workouts with their popular High School Summer Pass program, and registration begins May 13, 2024 (online and in-club).

The national gym chain has been letting teens workout for free during the summer since 2018. What started as a pilot program in Planet Fitness’ home state of New Hampshire quickly grew to be a nationwide hit. Now, these free workouts are available at the more than 2,000 Planet Fitness locations.

It’s at least $35 worth of workout fees for free. We’ll tell you all about the program, how to sign up for the Summer Pass, and what adults can expect.

(Not a teen? It’s all good — we’re amassing a list of free workouts for adults, too.)

Registration opens May 13 for the Planet Fitness Summer Pass, where teens (ages 14 – 19) can work out for free.

Summer Pass participants can also take advantage of free fitness classes through the Planet Fitness PE@PF program at participating locations. You can sign up for classes through the free Planet Fitness mobile app or by visiting your local club when registration opens May 13.

There are no time limits with the Summer Pass; participants can work out anytime during their local Planet Fitness gym’s hours.

Teens can sign up for the Summer Pass online or in-club (with parent permission) on May 13.

To sign up for the High School Summer Pass program at Planet Fitness, participants will be able to register online at the Planet Fitness website or in person at any PF club starting May 13, 2024. Participants who are under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the electronic waiver or be present to sign the waiver in-club.

Once the waiver is signed, participants who are under 18 or the age of majority in their jurisdiction can work out alone (without an adult).

Once the summer ends, memberships start at $10/month.
