Chick-fil-A's Code Moo — a game for app users to earn Chick-fil-A deals and coupons for free food — is back for its third year. Beginning today, July 15, 2025, customers can go to the Chick-fil-A app to play Code Moo and earn free food.
You'll see weekly games (and freebies) in the app. Chick-fil-A announced that the free food this year will include Medium Waffle Fries, a Chocolate Chunk Cookie, and 5-Count Chick-fil-A Nuggets. But to find out which one you get each week, you'll need to play the games every Tuesday. We'll be updating right here as the prizes are revealed.

Code Moo is Chick-fil-A's summertime promotional game that offers multiple chances to win free food and Chick-fil-A merch each Tuesday for three weeks.
In 2023, users answered location-based questions to earn freebies, and in 2024, they played a racing game.
Chick-fil-A Code Moo runs July 15 - Aug. 4.
Last year, we saw a 4-week game, and in 2023, it was a 6-week game. This year, it'll be a 3-week event. It runs from July 15 - Aug. 4.

You can play Code Moo by going to playCodeMoo.com or by signing in to your Chick-fil-A Rewards app each Tuesday. The game started today, July 15, you'll need to play the game to find out what's needed to unlock the food freebies.
In 2024, the game had users race their cow car in a mission to help stop Circus Burger and spread the Cows’ "Eat Mor Chikin" message. After you finish the game, you’ll be given a reward added to your Chick-fil-A Rewards in the app.

When the security guard gets near, tap and hold to make your cow hide
Keep going until you reach the end of the course.
Expect lower-value prizes and a shorter 3-week event.
The game had some changes in 2024, and they weren't good changes. Instead of the 6-week event we saw in 2023, it ran for just four weeks. And 2024's first week's prize — 5-count nugs — was only worth $3.25, while 2023's first prize was an 8-piece, regularly priced at $5.39. The rest of the prizes, although completely free, weren't as enticing as 2023 either.
Those lower-value prizes (and a shorter event) are returning year. Unfortunately, inflation (and shrinkflation) is still affecting restaurants, and we're seeing less-desirable deals and prizes because of it.

Cow Appreciation Day no longer takes place in restaurants.
In previous years, kids received a free Chick-fil-A sandwich (regularly $5.29) while adults could get an entree of their choice (up to $8.85 value) when they dressed like a cow on Cow Appreciation Day. But Code Moo appears to be the official replacement for Chick-fil-A Cow Appreciation Day.
We haven't seen the annual dress-like-a-cow holiday in five years, and we don't think it will make a return, despite its overwhelming popularity with customers.

There's no need to wait for the annual cow holiday to grab a deal. Join the Chick-fil-A One rewards program online or through their app to save all year long.
The free rewards program has four tiers, each level with additional perks (like earning more points per $1 you spend). However, if you're just joining, you’ll earn 10 points for every $1 spent and receive fun stuff like Chick-fil-A coupons for free food and birthday rewards.
