Wondering what are the top 10 things to buy in July? Let’s just say fireworks aren’t the only thing hot this month!
In addition to plenty of coupons for food and summer needs, you can find bargains on appliances, tools, shoes, toys, and rugs. All you have to do is be on the lookout.
The best way to do that is to download the KCL app for money-saving coupons, deals, and tips.
1. Save up to $750 on new appliances.
Home Depot, Lowe’s, Best Buy, and Macy’s are all offering deep discounts on appliances in July. Home Depot and Lowe’s are offering up to $750 off major appliances like refrigerators, microwaves, and stoves until July 14. Buy more and save more. You can get free delivery when you spend more than $299.
Best Buy is offering free financing for 24 months and free delivery on purchases over $399 until July 14.
Macy’s has all their Ninja appliances marked down by $50!
2. Get 50% off tools at Fourth of July sales.
Hot weather is a good time to invest in tools. July 4 sales generally include big premium tool items from Bauer, DeWalt, and Craftsman. Lowe’s, Home Depot, and Harbor Freight all have big savings on tools — up to $60 or 50% off.
3. Receive up to 50% off at Target’s semi-annual toy sale.
Let your kids spend their summer allowance on Target’s semi-annual toy clearance sale in July. Typically, it starts by the first week of July and runs for one month. You’ll see the most popular toys — like LEGO — begin with a 30% clearance and increase to 50% and finally 70% as the weeks progress.
4. Save 70% on shoes and sandals.
Use promo code FOURTH for an additional 20% off at Macy’s.com shoe clearance. Get the end-of-the-season sandals and running shoes, for example, 25% off New Balance at Shoe Carnival. Dick’s Sporting Goods has clearance on men’s, women’s, and children’s Nike and Brooks running shoes.
5. Cool down with hot deals on ice cream during National Ice Cream Month.
July is National Ice Cream Month, so expect to see serious sales and coupons for ice cream.

6. Stack coupons, rebates, and offers for free sunscreen at Target.
Sunscreen is a summer staple, but it can get seriously expensive — unless you buy it in July.
Last year, I found an offer for Australian Gold Botanical Sunscreen at Target. I stacked a 25% off Circle offer with a $4/1 SmartSource.com coupon and an Ibotta offer, which dropped the price from $7.48 clearance price ($14.99 regularly) to negative $0.39! Of course, Target didn’t give me any money back, but the sunscreen was free!

7. Get steals on patio sets in July.
In early July 2021 you can buy discount patio sets for 20% off at Overstock (get an additional 15% off by signing up for their email), or Walmart has patio sets for $50 and $100 off the regular price with free delivery. And don’t forget Target patio sets for up to 70% off.
8. Enjoy discounts up to 50% or more on camping gear.
Don’t forget about big-box retailers like Walmart and Target. In 2020, I saw an Ibotta offer for $10 off a Coleman Brighton sleeping bag from Walmart, making it only $22.97.

9. Find deals on fireworks by signing up for emails.
A few days after July 4 will be the best time to see clearance prices on fireworks.
Fireworks keep just fine if stored properly in a dry place, and you can break them out again at New Year’s!

10. Find discounted rugs during July 4 sales at stores like Bed Bath & Beyond.
July is a great time to snatch up some deals on area rugs with Overstock‘s Fourth of July Sale. They have a 12% off coupon you can combine with 25% off area rugs. Bed Bath & Beyond also has great deals on rugs, including over half off designer clearance rugs.
