July is the second quickly becoming one of the most exciting shopping months of the year. In addition to plenty of coupons for food and summer needs, you can find bargains on electronics, appliances, tools, shoes, toys, and rugs.

1. Amazon Prime Day is the single biggest shopping event each July.
Amazon Prime Day deals are taking place Tuesday, July 12, and Wednesday, July 13. And Prime Members may be able to expect early access beginning Sunday afternoon at 3pm PT. Text AMAZON to 57299 and be the first to know about the best Prime Day Deals.

2. But there are lots more Black Friday in July sales to watch.
July is quickly becoming one of the best months of the year for deals, behind November and December. These are just some of the major retailers who hold massive Black Friday-like sales during July. These are the Black Friday in July sales to watch.
Target Deal Days is expected to begin on July 10th.
Target patterns its Deal Days sale after Prime Day, so Amazon calls the shots on when this sale begins. We’re predicting a July 10th or 11th start for 2022.
Target Deal Days will include all the top brands. Last year, we saw Apple AirPods as low as $130, $50 off Instant Pots, 30% off Keurig coffee makers, and 40% off KitchenAid mixers. Walmart Deals for Days is expected to begin on July 10th.
Walmart’s Big Save event is the other massive sale constructed after Prime Day. Walmart’s sale will overlap with Amazon and Target, competing for your expendable dollars. We expect a July 10th start for the 2022 Walmart Big Save sale. But this sale outlasts the competition, usually running a full four days. Kohl’s Wow Deals is likely to begin on July 11th.
Kohl’s is trying to get in on the action. Their “Stack the Savings” sale, recently named Kohl’s Wow Deals was the fourth retailer to overlap Prime Day intentionally. Expect the same this year and, if you like to play that Kohl’s Cash game, plan to see Kohl’s deals on KCL that offer some of the lowest prices anywhere, if you factor in the value of the Kohl’s Cash earned on your purchase.
Best Buy Black Friday in July & Bigger Deals Events will run most of the month.
After their 4th of July sale, Best Buy has held two other sales in July the past few years. One, called Best Buy Black Friday in July comes after the Prime Day rush. Macy’s Black Friday in July is expected to begin on July 6th.
Macy’s says to heck with all the big names clogging up the third week in July, so they typically start their Macy’s Black Friday deals early.Check out KCL’s Macy’s deals to see if you want to shop ahead of the pack.
JCPenney Black Friday in July will start at the end of the month.
3. Free Slurpee Day is every day 7/1-7/11.
Every year, 7-Eleven stores typically celebrate their unofficial birthday by giving away free slurpees on July 11th (7-11). This year, Free Slurpee Day lasts eleven days!
4. National Ice Cream Day is Sunday, July 17.
National Ice Cream Day is the third Sunday in July! The next national ice cream day will occur on Sunday, July 17 2022. But you can expect to see National Ice Cream Day deals all month long.
Baskin Robbins, Dairy Queen and Coldstone Creamery all have special offers on Ice Cream day.
5. Chick-fil-a Cow Appreciation Day is Tuesday, July 12.
After a two year hiatus due to COVID-19, we expect Chick-Fil-A Cow Appreciation Day will resume this July. The event is traditionally held on the second Tuesday in July. Customers in cow costumes get a free entree, kids get a free Chick-fil-A sandwich.
6. Save on new appliances.
Home Depot, Lowe’s, Best Buy, and Macy’s are all offering deep discounts on appliances in July. Home Depot and Lowe’s are offering up to $750 off major appliances like refrigerators, microwaves, and stoves until July 14. Buy more and save more. You can get free delivery when you spend more than $299.
Best Buy is offering free financing for 24 months and free delivery on purchases over $399 until July 14.
Macy’s has all their Ninja appliances marked down by $50!
7. Get 50% off tools at Fourth of July sales.
Hot weather is a good time to invest in tools. July 4 sales generally include big premium tool items from Bauer, DeWalt, and Craftsman. Lowe’s 4th of July, Home Depot, and Harbor Freight all have big savings on tools — up to $60 or 50% off.
8. Receive up to 50% off at Target’s semi-annual toy sale.
Let your kids spend their summer allowance on Target’s semi-annual toy clearance sale in July. Typically, it starts by the first week of July and runs for one month. This year it started in late June, so shop early before it’s gone to Target salvage stores. You’ll see the most popular toys — like LEGO — begin with a 30% clearance and increase to 50% and finally 70% as the weeks progress.
9. Save 70% on shoes and sandals.
Use promo code FOURTH for an additional 20% off at Macy’s.com shoe clearance. Get the end-of-the-season sandals and running shoes, for example, 25% off New Balance at Shoe Carnival. Dick’s Sporting Goods has clearance on men’s, women’s, and children’s Nike and Brooks running shoes.
10. Cool down with hot deals on ice cream during National Ice Cream Month.
July is National Ice Cream Month, so expect to see serious sales and coupons for ice cream.

11. Stack coupons, rebates, and offers for free sunscreen at Target.
Sunscreen is a summer staple, but it can get seriously expensive — unless you buy it in July.
Last year, I found an offer for Australian Gold Botanical Sunscreen at Target. I stacked a 25% off Circle offer with a $4/1 SmartSource.com coupon and an Ibotta offer, which dropped the price from $7.48 clearance price ($14.99 regularly) to negative $0.39! Of course, Target didn’t give me any money back, but the sunscreen was free!

12. Get steals on patio sets in July.
In early July 2021 you can buy discount patio sets for 20% off at Overstock (get an additional 15% off by signing up for their email), or Walmart has patio sets for $50 and $100 off the regular price with free delivery. And don’t forget Target patio sets for up to 70% off.
13. Enjoy discounts up to 50% or more on camping gear.
Don’t forget about big-box retailers like Walmart and Target. In 2020, I saw an Ibotta offer for $10 off a Coleman Brighton sleeping bag from Walmart, making it only $22.97.

14. Find deals on fireworks by signing up for emails.
A few days after July 4 will be the best time to see clearance prices on fireworks.
Fireworks keep just fine if stored properly in a dry place, and you can break them out again at New Year’s!

15. Find discounted rugs during July 4 sales at stores like Bed Bath & Beyond.
July is a great time to snatch up some deals on area rugs with Overstock‘s Fourth of July Sale. They have a 12% off coupon you can combine with 25% off area rugs. Bed Bath & Beyond also has great deals on rugs, including over half off designer clearance rugs.
