Unfortunately, when or how the holiday originated is up for debate (KFC does appear to take credit for it on their website). While there’s no history lesson to share, there are deals. Plenty of fried chicken restaurants celebrate the food holiday by offering discounts and other savings.

The Northern Virginia chain, Big Buns, will likely offer a discount on chicken sandwiches, including their Fricken Good Fried Chicken and the BYOC, on July 6.

On National Fried Chicken Day (July 6, 2025), watch for a $1 Original Chicken sandwich at Southwest-based Birdcall locations when you use a promo code.
Burger King
Royal Perks members can anticipate a free Royal Crispy Chicken sandwich with any $1 Burger King purchase next year.
BurgerFi
For National Fried Chicken Day 2025, we predict BurgerFi will offer a BOGO FREE deal on their Original Fried Chicken Sandwich or Buffalo Chicken Sandwich.
Cracker Barrel
Next year, Cracker Barrel Rewards members will likely have the chance to earn Double Pegs on catering orders for pickup between July 4-7. Plus, Cracker Barrel will offer rewards members a free Barrel Bite Bonus Reward on National Fried Chicken Day (July 6) when you place a pickup order for any chicken item in-store, online, or through the Cracker Barrel app.

On July 6, 2025, we predict Missouri-based Grace Meat + Three will have discounted Half-Birds and Half-Bird & Waffles from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
