Free Slurpee Day at 7-Eleven has been a pretty easy day to remember; it’s 7/11. It’s literally in the store name, paving the way for July 11, or 7/11, to become the day we all get a free slushy treat with no purchase necessary. Free Slurpee Day was created in 2002, during the 75th anniversary of 7-Eleven’s birthday as a brand (stores were dubbed with the moniker in 1946). Slurpees themselves (originally called Icees) were created by accident in the 1950s, and the treat was officially acquired by 7-Eleven in 1965.
Every year, 7-Eleven celebrates attracts hordes of thirsty people with their promise of a free Slurpee. And in 2023, there were actually THREE opportunities to get a free Slurpee? Yep. We’ll tell you all about what we can expect 7-Eleven to do in 2024 based on 2023, and how you could have grabbed your freebies.

Small Slurpees were free all day (one per customer) at 7-Eleven on July 11.
Even though there were plenty of Prime Day deals for you to nab, Free Slurpee Day required you to visit a 7-Eleven location in person. Everyone who visited a 7-Eleven location could have grabbed a free small Slurpee (regularly $1.29) by just walking into your local 7-Eleven. Each customer could claim one free Slurpee at that location. In 2023, they released a few new flavors for us to enjoy this season. Here’s what you could have grabbed:
- Sprite Lymonade Legacy
- Summertime Citrus
- Fanta Dragon Fruit Zero Sugar
- Hibiscus Lemonade
The 7NOW Delivery Gold Pass was free on Free Slurpee Day — free delivery for a year.
If you weren’t ready for the 7-Eleven Day deals to end, no prob. On July 11, 2023, new subscribers to the 7NOW Delivery Gold Pass could have gotten free delivery on around 3,000 items including pizza, wings, and Slurpees till the end of 2023. That means 7-Eleven’s version of DoorDash DashPass cost nothing until December 2023, and then it’ll only be $5.99/month. New members just had to sign up with the 7-Eleven mobile app to get this deal.
Also, 7-Eleven Rewards members could also get $0.11 off their gas purchases and purchase various foods at 7-Eleven for only $1 — including hot dogs and pizza slices. These deals were only available on July 11.
Note: 7-Eleven has also released a list of merchandise that you can get to celebrate the holiday. Their collection includes shirts, baby onesies, and more.
7-Eleven Rewards members were offered another free Slurpee between July 1 – 10.
Members of the 7REWARDS or Speedy Rewards program (since Speedway and 7-Eleven are the same company) received a coupon for a free small Slurpee that was valid from July 1 to 10, 2023. This coupon was one-time use and was only one freebie per customer. That means could have picked up two free Slurpees — one from July 1 to 10 and another free Slurpee on July 11.
A THIRD Slurpee was available for 7NOW delivery customers on July 8, 2023, with minimum purchase.
So technically you could have snagged a third freebie. Customers could have gotten a free Slurpee from 7NOW delivery on July 8, 2023 for no charge. 7NOW is 7-Eleven’s own delivery service, so you couldn’t nab this freebie through other third-party delivery services like DoorDash, Uber Eats, or Grubhub.
You might have had to pay a small basket charge if a minimum purchase wasn’t met (usually between $7-$10, although it wasn’t specified), and you still had to pay delivery fees. So, not really all that free when you factored in those costs.
