Move over Ulta; there’s enough room for two in the world of beauty sales. For three years in a row, Sephora has matched many of the Ulta 21 Days of Beauty deals during the bi-annual sale. Literally as soon as Ulta drops their deals, Sephora pounces with matching 50% off deals of their own. And 2025 has been no different: Sephora's One-Day Deals (formerly called Oh Snap) sale last ran March 7 - 27, right alongside 21 Days of Beauty.
We expect One-Day Deals to return in late August, along with 21 Days of Beauty.
Sephora has the advantage of offering free shipping with no purchase minimum (Ulta has a $35 free ship threshold). It's one of our favorite Sephora sale hacks.

The Sephora One-Day Deals sale is a twice-a-year, 21-day event offering daily 50% off deals.
Historically one of the best beauty product sales of the year, Sephora One-Day Deals sale (which it used to call Oh Snap prior to 2024) was created to compete with Ulta’s 21 Days of Beauty. This means you have double the opportunity to get 50% off big name products.
This event happens once in the spring and once in the fall.
KCL predicts the next Sephora One-Day Deals event will run Aug. 29 - Sept. 18, 2025 online, in stores, and at Sephora at Kohl's.
The One-Day Deals sale will run for three weeks in Sephora stores, online on Sephora.com, and at Sephora at Kohl's locations.
How do we make our prediction?
For the past couple years, Sephora has timed its One-Day Deals event with Ulta 21 Days of Beauty. Based on past dates, we expect it to kick off the last Friday in August and run through Sept. 18 (21 days).

However, you won't find any brand marked down across the board. You'll usually find one or two specific products from each brand marked down at a time, so it's worth checking back each day of the sale. Want to get an idea of which brands will go on sale when? We noticed that, during the spring 2025 sale, Sephora closely mirrored the brands Ulta discounted during 21 Days of beauty. So check Ulta's calendar as a possible preview.
Why shop Sephora deals instead of Ulta 21 Days of Beauty?
If both stores are offering 50% off, I’m sure you’re wondering why to bother shopping at one over the other. Each store does have their own perks and fan following, but if you’re just looking for the best overall deals and savings — I hear you.
The Sephora house brand's included in the One-Day Deals Sale.
In 2022, Sephora began offering Sephora Collection-branded items in the Oh Snap Sale. If you love their house brand, that’s just one of the reasons why their sale may be better than Ulta’s. Ulta hasn't included its in-house brand in 21 Days of Beauty.
Sephora offers free shipping, regardless of how much you purchase.
If you’re buying from Ulta.com, you have to spend at least $35 to get free shipping. Not the case with Sephora.com. Sephora offers free shipping regardless of the order amount when you sign up for their Beauty Insiders loyalty program, which is completely free to join. Not a Beauty Insider? You'll pay $6.95 for shipping, so it's worth joining the free program.
Sephora has generous free-gifts-with-purchase offers, including two free samples with all online orders.
Sephora usually offers free gifts with purchase when you spend a certain amount or buy from a certain brand. When you shop Sephora's One-Day deals, check if the brand on sale that day also has a free-gift-with-purchase offer. That way, you're getting 50% off that brand, plus free stuff.
Plus, if you shop online, remember that Sephora gives you two free samples with every online order. When you're viewing your cart, go to the "Add up to 2 Free Samples" section of your cart and pick which samples you want, and they'll ship with your order.
