Belk is the kind of store where you should never pay full price for anything. If you shop with Belk coupons and stick to the frequent sales dropping every week, you can snag unbeatable deals on bedding, kitchen appliances, and more.

1. Download the app for Belk coupon codes you can use in store and online.
Download the Belk app to get access to coupon codes you can use online or in store. Your eyes will pop by all the offers available.
In August 2020, I found the following coupons for online and in store:
- 60% off regular & sale Belk exclusive & select national brands purchases (40% off select national brands; 20% off select designer brands)
- 65% off regular & sale Effy & LeVian fine jewelry purchases
- 70% off regular & sale fine jewelry & Belk Silverworks purchases
Belk will offer new coupon codes every week in the app and on their website. The trick is to look for the “Coupons” section on the Belk.com homepage and in the app. I used the above deal for up to 65% off select Belk exclusives and national brands and snagged a Modern Southern Home 100% cotton queen-sized blanket (reg. $66) for just $22!
2. Belk typically has three coupon code promos in rotation every week.
You’ll notice coupon code promos on the Belk coupon page: “Online & In store” and “Online Exclusive.” They usually have three of these deals happening each week (not including the “extra 10% off” for free store pickup — more on that below), and each deal has its own expiration dates and exclusions.
If you shop online, you can clip the coupon and see it in your cart at checkout (but they still give you the option to “Add Coupon to Bag” anyway). You can also print these coupons for use in store, but the coupon will apply itself automatically at the register as well even if you don’t have an account.
As for Belk’s coupon policy, there isn’t one document with all the answers. You have to view a coupon’s exclusions to see the rules. For example, in August 2020 I found a 50% off online and in-store coupon. To see exclusions, I clicked “View Exclusions” and saw something along the lines of, “Excludes Doorbusters, Daily Deals, Weekly Spotlight, Clearance, Red Dot, Superbuys, Adidas, etc.”
3. You can’t stack coupons unless you choose curbside pickup for an extra 10% off…
Belk doesn’t let you stack coupons, but there are exceptions. When you choose “FREE Store Pickup Today” while shopping online, you’ll get another 10% off (code: GIVEME10) in addition to any coupons applied to your total.

4. … but you can use the same coupon code on different items in the same transaction.
So, I saw some cute Kory Stone sneakers and added them to my bag — for half off. That’s right. You can reuse the same coupon codes in the same transaction on other items, which saved me a total of $67.
You can apply the same coupon until it expires, so stock up while the getting is good.
5. Shop all of Belk’s sales for the best deals.
You’ll notice a ton of different sales happening all at once when you scroll through the app, peruse the homepage, or even walk into the store. It can be confusing, so here’s a chart to break them down for you.
According to a Belk customer service rep I spoke with, there’s currently no rhyme or reason as to the frequency behind these sales due to COVID-19, but most sales do end on a Sunday.
Due to the pandemic, they’re pushing big sales frequently with great prices, so if you see something you want, grab it before it’s gone.
PRO TIP: Per my discussion with the service rep, if you see an item that says something like “Two left at [store location],” order it and hope you get it. The site updates once every 24 – 48 hours, so inventory isn’t always accurate and the item could be gone.
6. Save up to 85% with purple-tagged clearance sale items.
Belk holds seasonal clearance sales, usually in June and July (back-to-school and swimwear) and around January for winter clothing.
When you shop in store, you’ll notice color-coordinated signage advertising between 50% – 80% off. Check the tags to see if an item is part of the clearance sale and how much you can take off.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what you can get for each color:
- Orange = 50% off
- Red = 60% off
- Green = 70% off
- Blue = 75% off
- Purple = 80% off
For instance, I found some New Direction earrings with a green tag (reg. $30) for just $8.99 (70% in savings). Deal!
7. Get an extra 25% off designer handbags during Belk’s clearance sales.
Do names like Michael Kors or COACH turn your head? Well, you can get awesome discounts on these designer handbags during Belk’s clearance sales.
In August 2020, I found:

8. Skip the Belk Rewards Program if you don’t want to sign up for a Belk credit card.
The Belk rewards credit card comes in two forms: The Belk Rewards card and the Belk Rewards Mastercard. I don’t think either is that impressive.
Both cards get you one reward point per $1 spent, and you need 1,000 points to get $10 Belk Rewards Dollars. But you can’t exceed more than $100 Belk Rewards Dollars per billing cycle, and points also expire within a year of earning them.
So, to get $100 in cash back, you’d need to spend $1,000. You’ll miss out on exclusive savings without a Belk card, but there are so many sales and deals every week that if you time your trips accordingly, you can save a lot without feeling the sting of that 25% APR.
9. Belk offers limited free gifts with beauty purchases as low as $29.
Belk recently started offering free gifts when you buy select beauty products both in store and online. These are limited to one per customer and are only available while supplies last.
In August 2020, for instance, you could choose a free seven-piece gift when you purchased $29 of Clinique product.
But that’s just one of the deals. Other free-gift Clinique deals included:
- Spend $55 on Clinique and get Clinique Smart Clinical MD Resculpt Moisturizer 15ml + Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Serum (a $139 value)
- Spend $75 on Clinique and get a full-size Deep Comfort Hand and Cuticle Cream + Deep Comfort Body Butter (a $168 value)
- (Pre-sale exclusive) Spend $100 on Clinique and get a full-size Moisture Surge Eye (a $202 value)
10. Use in-store scanners to see the lowest possible price on any product.
The scanner will show you the normal price and markdown price if you were to use a Belk credit card and a coupon.
This is really handy if you see an item but aren’t sure what the status is, like is it on sale or clearance? Just scan it and you’ll know!
11. Shop Belk’s Black Friday sale for great deals on kitchen appliances.
This is the time to grab those home essentials. In 2019, you could find Bella and Toastmaster items, like waffle makers, griddles, and even panini grills for as little $14.99, or (my personal favorite) KitchenAid 5-quart mixers for $280 (reg. $509).
In general, Belk rivals Macy’s, Kohl’s and other big box competitors when it comes to home appliances. Here’s a price comparison of some high-ticket items:
12. Belk will price match exact items at Kohl’s, JCPenney, Dillard’s and Macy’s.
I reached out to Belk to ask about their price match policy. Once they confirm the same item has a lower price, they’ll match it (including clearance priced items).

13. Belk will offer price adjustments for in-store and online items.
If you already purchased the item and it goes on sale within 10 days after you bought it, Belk will honor the sale price and give you the difference if you bring your receipt into the store or call customer service at (866) 235-5443.
14. Get free shipping when you meet the minimum spend threshold.
This policy only applies to the original price before any discounts are factored in. So if you use a 65% off coupon on your order and the price drops below the minimum spend threshold, you can bet you’ll pay for shipping.
If you really need something delivered, you’ll have to eat the delivery costs. Otherwise, opt for pickup and get an additional 10% off.
PRO TIP: I saw the minimum spend threshold for free shipping jump from $25 one week in August to $49 the next. Pay attention, as this perk is volatile and subject to change.
15. Shop on Tuesday for a 20% off senior, teacher, and military discount.

Every Tuesday at Belk and Belk.com, take advantage of Belk’s senior, teacher, and military discount. You’ll save an extra 20% on any item (or 15% for home items and shoes).
Sadly, you can’t combine coupons with this discount or apply it to clearance items.

16. Check CardBear.com to buy discounted Belk gift cards.

17. Return items for up to six months after your purchase.

Per Belk’s return and refunds policy, you can return items up to six months after the date of purchase and expect a full refund (but you’ll need a receipt or proof or purchase, of course).
