As I’m a bit of an HGTV addict, I’m always wanting to change things up in my home. I love moving around furniture, adding accessories and, of course, changing the paint! Although I enjoy the actual process of painting, there’s one aspect of it that I hate—the cleanup! It seems as though no matter how much I let those brushes soak, the paint just doesn’t want to come off. However, with paint brushes being as expensive as they are, there’s no way I would just throw them out. Fortunately, there’s an easy way to clean paint brushes using shampoo. Simply squirt a few drops of shampoo on the brush and massage it through the bristles. Next, rinse the brush clean, but be sure to only use cool water since hot water can loosen the glue that holds the bristles in place. The shampoo loosens the paint build-up and removes it with ease! Not only is shampoo effective on paint brushes, but it can be used to give your makeup brushes a good cleaning, as well!
