The Best Walmart After-Christmas Sales 2024
Walmart usually starts its After-Christmas sale on Dec. 26 with 50% off, going up to 75% for whatever's left in early January. Some deals will be available online (including toys), but much of the seasonal stuff will be only in stores. And savings you get will depend on what a particular store needs to get rid of.
In addition to holiday decor and wrapping paper, you'll find discounted holiday-themed beauty sets that you might want to stash in your gift stockpile for next year.

Right after Christmas, expect to find 50% off to 90% off a wide variety of seasonal decor starting Dec. 26.
Last year, we saw Target drop prices on holiday decor, gift sets, ornaments, and more. The thing about Target's After-Christmas sale, though, is that it's mostly in stores. While you can expect to find some deals online, for the biggest After-Christmas markdowns, you'll have to go in person, and selection varies by location. Here are some of our best in-store finds from 2023:

Expect Home Depot to start at 50% off on Dec. 26 and go up to 75% off into January on whatever's left. While some stores might have unique discounts on the clearance shelves, Home Depot also offers online holiday clearance deals on lights, yard inflatables, and more. These were our favorite online finds last year:

The Best Lowe's After-Christmas Sales 2024
Lowe's tends to start its markdowns early, so by the time Dec. 26 rolls around, you can find up to 90% off (more commonly 50% to 75% off). Some stores will have unique discounts that you have to go in person to get, but expect some online deals as well. Last year, our favorite finds were:

More After-Christmas Sales 2024
In addition to the major after-Christmas sales above, there are plenty more retailers running clearance deals and even semiannual sales right after Christmas. Keep these ones on your radar:
Bath & Body Works
Like clockwork on Dec. 26, Bath & Body Works kicks off its Semi-Annual sale. It typically offers up to 75% off as well as limited-time flash deals throughout the sale. Deals are available online and in stores. A lot of the marked-down merchandise will be holiday products (soaps, scents, and candles), so you truly can think of this as an after-Christmas clearance sale.
Hobby Lobby
Hobby Lobby has already started Christmas clearance deals, offering some decor for 50% off. It actually started doing so Sept. 1 (Hobby Lobby starts the party early, what can we say?). If you wait until Dec. 25 (online) and Dec. 26 (in stores), though, you'll start seeing markdowns of 60%. Wait until January for up to 90% off on what's left.
Drugstores (CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid)
Scan the shelves in stores for savings of 50%-90% off. Savings will vary store-by-store, but expect to find deals on stocking stuffers you can stash for next year, gift sets, and holiday candy (that you can use for your New Year's Eve party).
Victoria's Secret
The Victoria's Secret Semi-Annual sale offers up to 75% off and always kicks of Dec. 26, making it an honorary after-Christmas clearance sale (at least we'd like to think so!). Our favorite deals from past sales include panties, as low as $2.99, robes, as low as $20, and PJ sets as low as $14.99. This sale is a great chance to start thinking early about Valentine's Day gifts. They'll be price way lower than they will be in the lead-up to Feb. 14.
Use these holiday clearance tips to save more.
1. Scan your clearance finds in the store.
If you find an unmarked item in the clearance section, check its price using the in-store scanner. Even the store’s mobile app could show a clearance price that’s better than the one on its store tag, so ALWAYS scan your clearance finds in-store to get the best deal!
2. Wait for deeper discounts, but don’t wait too long.
Retailers need to make room for new items, so they’ll drop clearance prices even further to entice shoppers. If you find something you can’t live without, buy it at 50% off. If it’s worth the risk of missing out, wait for discounts to hit 70% off to 90% off. Selections will be smaller, but you’ll get better deals if you wait.
3. Use BrickSeek to check in-store clearance selections.
Brickseek.com shows you what’s in stock at your local store, so you can view their selection of clearance items before making the trip there. You can use Brickseek to check store inventories at Target, Lowe’s, and other major retailers.
